Melissa.....I call you sheeple because you believe everything your part tells you. And you like to call people tea baggers. I have also called people on the right sheeple. Obamacare is not good for the people right now and is terrible timing. You do not do something like this when duiring your presidency has had 7.2 % and higher in unemployment. You first help create jobs and fix the economy. Anyone who thinks he has is blind. You need a tax base first before you inflict a tax law. It is called common sense.

I also strongly support universal health care that is equal for ALL legal citizens of the country all the way up to the president. There should be no premiums but instead paid for by the tax base. I am guessing you dont like any of those positions. LOL
i want the welfare collectors to have to go into the office to get their free checks. and turn in 3 job searches every month. verified and a drig test to boot. the healthcare plan we cannot afford. have you searched what the real cost will be ? obama just nailed the middle class with more taxes.

Unemployment has been going down, slowly because the republicans try to block Obama on everything he does. And, shutting the government down didn't help. And, the republicans insisting on giving the wealth tax cuts that they don't deserve.
The AKA will be successful and it go down in history our first black president accomplished it, along with a lot of other things too numerous to mention.

SNOWDEN IS A TRUE AMERICAN PATRIOT!! HOOOOORAAAAYYYYY FOR THESE MARCHERS. I wish I knew about it, I would have gone. That is just hwat we need to do, start standing up to these tyrants in masses.
==========

WASHINGTON (Reuters)- Protesters marched on Capitol Hill in Washington on Saturday to protest the U.S. government's online surveillance programs, whose vast scope was revealed this year by former spy agency contractor Edward Snowden.

People carried signs reading: "Stop Mass Spying," "Thank you, Edward Snowden" and "Unplug Big Brother" as they gathered at the foot of the Capitol to demonstrate against the online surveillance by the National Security Agency.

Estimates varied on the size of the march, with organizers saying more than 2,000 attended. U.S. Capitol Police said they do not typically provide estimates on the size of demonstrations.

The march attracted protesters from both ends of the political spectrum as liberal privacy advocates walked alongside members of the conservative Tea Party movement in opposition to what they say is unlawful government spying on Americans.

"I consider myself a conservative and no conservative wants their government collecting information on them and storing it and using it," said Michael Greene, one of the protesters.

"Over the past several months, we have learned so much about the abuses (of privacy) that are going on and the complete lack of oversight and the mass surveillance into every detail of our lives. And we need to tell Congress that they have to act," said another protester, Jennifer Wynne.

I do think we need to try and push people into working instead of welfare. I could supports efforts toward that goal. But drug testing no, it is unconstitutional. The ACA is not our answer, universal health care is. You are right, the middle class is getting nailed with most of the cost, and it is going right into the pockets of greedy insurance companies. Increase taxes on the rich and fund the nonprofit insurance for everyone with the tax base.

Anti-secrecy activists rallied in front of the Capitol Saturday, protesting NSA spying. US citizens and world leaders are rattled at reports of vast surveillance of phone and Internet communications.
Christian Science Monitor
By Mark Guarino 3 hours ago

At a rally in Washington Saturday, self-exiled whistleblower Edward Snowden described “a system of pervasive surveillance” operating against American citizens, and he urged technology and free rights activists to spread awareness of the spying violations in the name of reform.

Mr. Snowden, the former contractor for the National Security Agency (NSA) who provided leaks about agency phone and Internet interceptions, is a key figure in the current controversy involving the agency. His message to the rally came as a statement sent from Russia, where he now lives under temporary asylum to avoid prosecution in the United States.

Just last week, leaks linked to Snowden revealed that the NSA had allegedly eavesdropped on cell phone calls by German Chancellor Angela Merkel. This follows protests by other world leaders from Brazil, France, Spain, Italy, and as many 30 other countries – most of them US allies – who say NSA spying is a violation and could seriously impair their relationship with the US.

“Today, no telephone in America makes a call without leaving a record with the NSA. Today, no Internet transaction enters or leaves America without passing through the NSA's hands. Our representatives in Congress tell us this is not surveillance. They’re wrong,” Snowden said.“Now it’s time for the government to learn from us.”

NEW YORK (Reuters)- New York's civil rights leaders on Saturday angrily decried the city's brewing "shop-and-frisk" scandal, in which two major retailers stand accused of profiling black shoppers who say they were detained by police after buying luxury items.

"We've gone from stop-and-frisk to shop-and-frisk," said Reverend Al Sharpton, president of National Action Network, alluding to a police crime-fighting tactic that critics say amounts to racial profiling.

A Network representative is set to meet next week with Mark Lee, the chief executive of Barneys New York, following allegations from two black shoppers that they were detained by New York police and accused of fraud after buying luxury items at Barneys.

In a third such allegation made this week, actor Rob Brown of HBO's "Treme" told the New York Daily News on Friday that he had been "paraded" through a midtown Mahattan Macy's in handcuffs in June, and held for an hour, after purchasing a $1,350 gold Movado watch for his mother.

Brown said he came forward after reading news accounts of others who had had similar experiences at Barneys.

Brown told the newspaper he "implored" cops to check his ID, but "they kept telling me,‘Your card is fake. You're going to jail.'"

Retailer Barneys New York publicly apologized this week, and Macy's Inc said late on Friday that it is investigating Brown's allegations.

Ok why would you need to tell people this? What does it matter. If illegals cant get benefits then why would they be applying? Isnt this declaration kinda saying go ahead and sign up illegals because we dont care? I dont get it.
==========

WASHINGTON (AP)— The Obama administration is stressing that information submitted while signing up for coverage under the new health care law will not be used to enforce immigration law.

That's always been the practice, but lingering fear among some immigrants that personal details could be used against them led the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency to clarify. In a memo released late Friday, the agency reiterated that it does not use information provided during the enrollment process to pursue civil immigration enforcement.

People living illegally in the U.S. are barred from benefits under the Affordable Care Act health law, but U.S. citizens and legal residents living with them may be eligible.

Some applicants must provide information on the citizenship status of those who live with them to help make sure the household is processed correctly.

Hooray for Joe Manchin. He always does the right thing and is on the right side of an issue. Joe calls em as he sees em regardless. Joe Manchin for president!!!!!!!!!!

==========

But Mr. Zients also said that the website “is fixable,” and that "by the end of November, HealthCare.gov will work smoothly for the vast majority of users.”

Still, although 700,000 people have applied for coverage through the new online markets, it's believed that only a fraction of that number actually managed to sign up.

Critics in Congress – Democrats as well as Republicans – want to slow down the process.

Several Senate Democrats have spoken out in favor of delaying the date by which individuals must buy health insurance, Politico.com reports. Sen. Joe Manchin (D) of West Virginia is drafting legislation that would delay the individual mandate. Sens. Jeanne Shaheen (D) of New Hampshire and Mark Pryor (D) of Arkansas want to extend the enrollment period.(Shaheen and Pryor are up for re-election next year.)

San Francisco (AFP)- An enormous floating barge has emerged in the San Francisco Bay, which tech-savvy sleuths suspect is a massive data center being constructed by Google, the CNET blog reported.

The huge floating structure "stands about four stories high and was made with a series of modern cargo containers... Locals refer to it as the secret project," CNET wrote, adding that Google did not respond to requests for comment.

"It's all but certain that Google is the entity that is building the massive structure that's in plain sight, but behind tight security," the online tech site wrote.

Melissa......this is why I call you a sheeple. Republicans block everything. He had the first two years to do what he wanted. So instead of economice, Obama choose the Obamacare. So instead of working on getting Americans to work, he decides to hit them with a tax law. You sit back and drink that kool aid and say wonderful stradegy. They bullied it through and your friend Nancy Pelosi with vote on it and we will read it later. And no compromise and debate. And you wonder why there was anomosity. So far alot of what people said has happen. Jobs lost or brought to part time. Companies dropping healthcare. And they are having trouble implicating it. Plus Obama said you could keep your healthcare and doctor, which turned out to be a lie. But you are still defending it like a good sheeple
