Therefore, it is not a violation of the constitution.

If Americans have a low ammo supply (although I've had no difficulty buying anything), then maybe manufacturer should make more....unless they are enjoying the profits they are making by jacking up the prices.
The manufacturers are holding back on supplies and also the retail stores are holding back supplies to drive up prices. Manager at Walmart told me he had the particular bullets I wanted but he wasn't allowed to place them behind the counter. He also told me they were being held for government reasons at the manufacturers. So actually both are true.

Take a look at the school lunches these kids are getting. You are suppose to be the caring one. Children are going hungry. I pack my kids lunch (healthy I might add) but what about the parents who are struggling? I agree we have to much junk in our food but come on they would like to change sugar. I am smart enough to limit how much sugar we use. The treatment of farmers is horrible. Mon$anto that is beyond ridiculous.

Honestly we are in short supply in my area. I have no idea why and I would not even try to guess. Went to Cabelas over the last few months and the shelves have been empty.

They're not being held at a store for government reasons. That's absolute nonsense.

Obama has yet to do anything to limit gun ownership or the sale and distribution of ammunition. Panic has caused all the problems. It's been a bonanza for gun and ammo manufacturers. They should nominate Obama as salesmen of the century.

But still, there's nothing in the law that even mentions what type of weapons we can own. Back when that law was written, we had black powder weapons. If you want to stay with the intent of the law, then go buy yourself a blunderbuss.
<quoted text>
Yes I want to stay with the intent of the law, which was to allow people to have the weapons of their own choosing. There are no restriction written into the Constitution, so obviously the intent was no restrictions. If they had wanted to government to have the power to restrict certain types of weapons of their own choosing, they would have included that power in the Constitution.

"Government reasons?" Haha. Dumb tea bagger, there is no government control over legal ammunition supply. They tell stupid people that so they'll buy more bullets. Just like the whole "take your guns!!!" thing you dumbasses fell for after Newtown.

Because both "sides" are buying and hoarding. Both the government and the citizens are stock piling ammo. Makes ya wonder why.

An honest, non-political assessment of the ammo situation:

http://www.alloutdoor.com/2013/06/12/ammo-sho...

In short, it's because people are panic buying and hoarding and manufacturers can't keep up. Sorry, no conspiracy theories here.

In an effort to do something about child obesity? And you think that's a bigger problem than this?

http://thinkprogress.org/economy/2012/04/25/4...

A more nutritious lunch does not appear to be as big of a problem as 280,000 kids being kicked out of the school lunch program.

People need to examine their priorities.

I really wish you could actually see what the kids are eating for there lunch. We have tried everything to get it changed. I am all for the fruit and veggies and no sweets. But young kids need more protein. We have hungry kids here and it is no joking matter. There are more kids on free lunches in this state then ever before. Kids getting the food is not the problem.

Before this conversation goes totally into the realm of Alex Jones conspiracy theories, here are some more "facts" you might want to consider:
