Many people didn't even know what their policy covered. ACA sets minimum standards, that's all.

It's the law.

Are you really dumb enough to think that only Democrats had a hand in crafting parts of this bill?
.
Lmao...not a single republican voted on it...but 3 democrats are credited for writing most of it. Tax cheat democrat charles rangel started this whole mess...

Read more, talk less.....

"Montana Democrat Senator Max Baucus is often called the “author” of the ObamaCare bill. But it says a lot about how Washington, DC works when the “author” of a piece of legislation admits that he never actually read his own bill because, in his words,“we hire experts” for those menial tasks."

http://www.ihatethemedia.com/obamacare-author...

"Who wrote Obamacare? Of course, no one person authored the entire lengthy statute but if one person could be singled out as playing a role greater than any other person that would have to be Liz Fowler.

At least that is what Senator Max Baucus, from whose committee the bill arose, said in the following quote:

“I wish to single out one person, and that one person is sitting next to me. Her name is Liz Fowler. Liz Fowler is my chief health counsel. Liz Fowler has put my health care team together. Liz Fowler worked for me many years ago, left for the private sector, and then came back when she realized she could be there at the creation of health care reform because she wanted that to be, in a certain sense, her profession lifetime goal. She put together the White Paper last November–2008–the 87-page document which became the basis, the foundation, the blueprint from which almost all health care measures in all bills on both sides of the aisle came,”

We all know democrat charlie rangel right? Anybody think its a good idea to have a felon write our health care laws?

So you're going to tell me that a majority of private health care recipients don't even know what their benefits are?

Last time I checked, most private sector employers who offer health plans to their people do so through forms that detail out the benefits along with payroll deductions. This usually happens annually (just did mine a few weeks ago). These individuals then select plans based on how much they want deducted from payroll. The INDIVIDUAL makes an informed decision on the product that they purchase.

Once again, the INDIVIDUAL should make decisions on the quality of plan, not bureaucrats.

YOU don't know the minimum standards of the ACA. If you did, you'd realize why putting such standards on existing health plans is asinine.

We get a 250 page book from Blue Cross each year. Do I read it all? Nope. Most people don't.

However, since you do know all about yours tell us where it differs from ACA.

The government can absolutely regulate such a large portion of our economy and minimum standards. Capitalizing WORDS doesn't make your argument any better.
Never said that they couldn't. I simply said that the choice should be left to the INDIVIDUAL. You liberals cry about "freedom of choice" when it comes to abortion, but allow people to have a choice in health care? HELL NO.
Hypocrisy.

I'm not going to divulge information about my health care plan. I will say, however, that it already meets the 10 standard criteria of the ACA.

I asked you earlier if you knew what these criteria were, to which you didn't respond.

You say you already know the 10 basics so I consider you educated on the issue.

Lmao...Why not? If obama can break the law then why cant we?

A president must go thru congress before changing laws...its the law...anything else is defined as a dictatorship. You cant rule by decree. You fools are so busy camping out on topix and denegrating "teabaggers" you dont realize that youre the least educated on the subject...

"Section 1513 of the Affordable Care Act (ACA, better known as Obamacare) requires all large employers to provide health insurance for their employees.“Large employers” are those with at least 50 full-time employees, and “full-time” is defined as averaging 30 or more hours per week.
Section 1513’s “Employer Mandate” is one of five parts of the ACA that are absolutely essential for this government-run system to work, with the most well-known of those five being the infamous “Individual Mandate” upheld by the Supreme Court as a tax by a controversial 5-4 decision in 2012.
And the Employer Mandate is mandatory. The law Congress wrote explicitly commands that this provision takes effect in January 2014. The ACA does not permit the government to grant a reprieve or an extension.
Yet in a blatantly illegal move, the Obama administration is presuming to rewrite the ACA by choosing not to enforce provisions that are causing visible problems. The IRS—which is tasked with enforcing the Employer Mandate—will simply not enforce it until 2015. Every large employer in the country is under the mandate. If they don’t comply, then they are breaking federal law.
But the IRS not enforcing Section 1513 is like a policeman who patrols a stretch of road who says for the next year, he won’t issue any speeding tickets. He has no authority to suspend the law, but if he chooses to violate his duty by failing to enforce the law, then to all the motorists on the road it’s as if the law does not exist."

Dr. Gruber, one of the architects of ObamaCare, an MIT guy, just told CNN that at the end of the day, in three years or so, when ObamaCare is fully implemented and functioning, about 40 percent of those uninsured today will remain uninsured. How is that for success eh? Therefore, in the first 10 years approximately, having spent $3T, we will have kicked a bunch of seniors off their preferred coverage, expanded Medicare, and provided subsidized coverage for about 6 million people, less than 3% of the population. So we will have spent a minimum of $500,000 per uninsured person and ruined the best healthcare system in the world. Genius. How many of the 6 million would rather have a check for $500,000?
