A crew went to Cleveland last night, again. Did sending a crew on a long distance transport after being on duty 18 hours come back to bite them? Just wondering how busy they were before they left.

And this county keeps voting in excess levies.

One of these days the lid is going to come off CCEMS finances and plenty of light is going to shine in.

Seems that Gosh may know something? Well, I'm a taxpayer and curious about what you know? Not sure exactly what finances have to do with a wreck, but you mentioned it!

After 18 hours, does it really matter how "busy" they were?

If you all want something done about it, stop bitching on topix and get this info to the commission.

What will the Commission do, designate a holiday to honor those involved in the wreck? What really needs to happen is one of the so-called news stations, or Doug Reynold's newest toy, the Herald-Dispatch, to do an investigation. When government investigates itself nothing happens - doesn't matter what level it is.

Yeah, there is another topic all together. Delegate Doug buys the only newspaper in town from his rich Dad. Gee, that rag is gonna be even worse now than what it has been.

Do you think you are special because you're a tax payer? Guess what? EVERYONE pays taxes! You are not entitled to VIP status because you do the same shit as everyone else.

I made my comment before the wreck was in the news. Nothing in my post says anything about a wreck.

Okay, fine but you mentioned it in the thread about the wreck. Anyways, you seem to think something ain't right with the Cabell EMS finances, right? Just asking, what is it that needs to be investigated? They are a County agency, so you would think the finances are public record but what do you know, or think, may be there? And not piling on, but if you have provable information you should take it to the commission.

Wow you all are stupid. Pull the finances they are public record. As a tax payer I try to look at all the finances that I supply money to. And for your info the money the EMS gets as a tax wouldn't keep 1 station open. The money they operate on comes from the hospital transports they do like the one that was taken to Cleveland. Everything the EMS has is paid for. Nothing is financed. CCEMS is one of the best run county agency when it comes to money!!!!

Really? And yet they ran 3 stations for years and years and years with the money from levies and billing.

CCEMS levy money should be offset by their ventures into take homes and transport for the hospitals on a dollar for dollar basis. Why should the taxpayers put up a single dollar more than necessary into any public agency providing public service?

If they can build all the new stations without debt them they don't need as much money from the public.

And they pay there paramedics only $10 an hour! However the bossestake there wives on expensive tropes to Florida all paid by the tax payers. And Gordon buys tanks and army vehicles to support his hobby and drives his family am vacations

Just want to say I worked at cabell county ems. I love my job and the people, maybe everyone should take time to read all the information and be more informed. We do transports out of state which is paid for by insurances companies. This brings a lot of Income to the COunty
