lines when i darken the picture. they go from the bottom to about middle of the screen. You can still see the picture behind the lines and i actually still use it. but if its a cheap fix im a have it done.

First, go to the menu section and find the full factory reset option and do that.
Then unplug it and wait a few minutes and plug it back in.
These lines, are they vertical or horizontal?

At times you may need to reset the TV back to the factory defaults. This can be accomplished through the a factory reset. To factory reset you TV:

Important: A factory reset will delete all settings on the TV and return it to factory defaults. If you have made changes to TVs settings and do not want them to be lost do not perform a factory reset, or write down the changes so they can be set back after the reset.

Have the TV powered on
Open the main menu.

Use the Up ▲ or Down ▼ buttons to select the Support section of the main menu, and then press ENTER.

Use the Up ▲ or Down ▼ buttons to select the Self Diagnosis section of the Support, and then press ENTER.

Use the Up ▲ or Down ▼ buttons to select the Reset, and then press ENTER.

Enter the security PIN (default 0000) for your TV.

The reset warning will appear, select Yes and then press ENTER.

The TV will power off, when you power the TV on it will have been reset and you will need to go through the initial setup again.

I found the self diagnostic section. But there was no factory reset. There was a reset for for the picture. It made the picture go back to default. But it didn't help any. The lines are still parallel. Any more ideas anyone? except for the worthless dumb ass above this encouraging stealing like a low life scum bag. Who obviously has no idea what type of tv I even have. Its not a Walmart brand u douche bag! I wish dumb worthless people would do the world a favor and just jump off a bridge!!
