Thanks for that sorry ass rant because now I will never give one single f***ing dime to a 'hash-slinger" ever again. And FYI I can 'afford' to eat out anytime I want. Noone forced you to take that kind of job loser. People don't have to work at those places, I don't. And how do you know that everyone is served so well anyway? Man you are a greedy loser if there ever was one. I don't owe you squat. Here is a tip fpr all food servers, stop working at a place that pays that kind of wage and they will be forced to pay more as opposed to shaking-down the customers who are paying for what they eat in the first place.

That's right Silent Majority. Let someone get Hep-C or something from the disgusting antics she speaks of. Disgusting pigs like her is why I have always heard to "never send food back, just don't come back". And pigs like her is why I wont eat out anymore. And she harps on Taco Bell and the like but at least they don't ask you to pay twice for your food.

My post was removed yet again...i consider it a compliment. Must have struck a serious nerve with the OP. I need to stop defending the innocent and start talking more about my skid marks and ni***rs, then they'll leave me alone.

When I was hired at my job I knew how much money I would make an hour...I had the choice to take the job or to continue looking for another job. I took the job!! I cant complain about my wages because I TOOK THE JOB! Go work at McDonalds if you dont like your $2.12 an hour and dont expect me to make up the difference. If I get good service you get a good tip...if the service sucks so will your tip. But dont just expect me to pay your wages. Most prices are high enough that your place of employment could pay you more.

Thats why they took a 2.12 hr job, because the tips were expected. DUH
And if it were your daughter or son would you be such a hardass against customers tipping them? NOT!

They accept $2.12 an hour because they are to get tips to make up the difference. If you don't want to tip go to a fast food restaurant. Most of these waiters and waitresses are hard working young people putting themselves through college.

Then why dont the business owners at least pay minimum wage if they are hard working kids going thru college? dont get mad at the customer if owner doesnt like to pay. We work hard too. I aint no doctor, i cut grass. i deserve a burger without it being rubbed on the toilet seat because a douche waitress considers my tip substandard.

Seems to be a lot of servers lately complaining about pay. If you dont like the pay structure go to fast food. It works both ways.

For all the servers posting on here. If u r getting crappy tips, u must be doing a crappy job. When I take my family out & get a server who isn't doing her/his job I'll still give them a decent tip but we have encountered ones who act like we're an inconvenience. In that case, you will not get a good tip. Why should I give u my hard earned $ if u don't want to earn it? Bottom line, serve well & get tipped well. Not that hard.

The business owners don't pay minimum wage because the servers are making WAY MORE than that. And they all know it, and these greedy turds aren't going to threaten me or anyone else into overtipping them. I just don't eat out where I see obvious white trash working there.

Threats are always a good way to make money. Idiot. If you don't like the pay structure, then don't work in foodservice.
I have served food at multiple places. This does not go on. I would smack the piss out of a fellow employee for doing this to even the most rude custo. I'm even a young and goofy guy and I don't stoop that low. I feel bad for whatever sh!thole you work in along with the customers who eat there. Bet you don't name your place of work. I could figure out who you are. I'd dip your rib-eye in some toilet water you ratchet ho3

Sunny and Stupidproof - you both know better. You know full well that in our society it is customary and expected to tip food servers. That is why food service employers are permitted to pay significantly below minimum wage. Don't waste your breath or the time of the other people on this thread trying to defend your boorish behavior. Categorically refusing to tip food servers is inexcusable.(BTW - I am not a food server).

Do everyone a favor and throw on some tater tots and fish sticks and stay home.
I never said I didn't tip! I was simply stating they can't get mad if they don't get a "big enough" tip

Fair enough.(The tip should be commensurate with the level of service provided.)

When they do not make enough tips to average out to minimum wage with the 2.12 an hr added in, than the employer is supposed to make up the difference so it adds up to minimum wage!!!!!

If your employer doesn't do this than u need to chk into it!!

I always tip for excellent service, and that is the only time a tip should be offered. Why does someone deserve extra for just doing their job?
Do you tip the guy at the garage that changes your oil? How about the guy or girl that bags your groceries? Better yet, how do you feel about paying Doctors? Ohhh, bet I hit a nerve there!!
ANYBODY can serve me eggs and bacon on a plate, not many can SAVE MY LIFE!
Apparently your lazy ass can't.....And you Sir, have much to learn....That "ANYBODY" that can serve you.....Can very well save a life!! You see, Rancher Bob kindness doesn't have to be "deserved" or "extra"...I wish I could "tip" the young man who saved my life....I'm sure as he was driving back to his college dorm after waiting tables.....he didn't have time to think about rude people as yourself or the drunk driver that killed him....however he did think other's "deserved" "extra"....Thank-You E.H. for being an organ donor....It is in your Memory that I TIP EXTRA regardless of service..It's only Money.....So, Mr. Bob ENJOY your toilet watered meal and to the waitstaff----YOU ARE PRICELESS!!!!

You only tip for excellent service? They get payed $2 an hour expecting compensation through your tip. They know the hourly rate when they get hired, but they also know you should tip after you have your meal delivered to you. Don't be a prude. Maybe skip on the "free refills" of soda or tea and give that extra $2 on the tip.
No one owes you anything in this life. Don't like your low paying job that YOU chose... get a new one. Do you tip the guy that hands you your food at McDonalds? Do you tip the person that files your taxes? Do you tip the person that changes the oil in your car? No. No, you don't.

Tips are expected, AND ARE PAID. You ever ask one of these servers what they come home with? More than working at JC Penney or THEY WOULDN'T WORK THERE!

We will tip 20 to 30% good or bad service. Waiters do get backup at times even at fancy restaurants. You cheap ones are just not going to tip, you would rather spend your tip money on snuff and chewing tobbaco. That's why My Husnband and I will dine at the best restaurants we can find when we are driving through WV is to get away from the bib over wearing, pot bellied tobacco chewing bearded goats. Cause we know they are not going to be in those kind of places, the atmosthere is to clean for their lungs and it would be to hard for them to breath with out coughing too much. And that's why we're such good tippers, because we get good service at good prices.
