Where I currently live doesn't allow pets, and I have adopted a cat. Does anyone know of any places in town, preferably as close to Marshall as possible, that allow pets? Also, how much is rent? I'm looking for a one bedroom.

Most apartment complexes do not allow pets. Country Club does as mentioned above but they are not that great for the price. I would check craigslist or the herald dispatch for apartments/houses for rent. you get more for your money that way. Also make sure you ask them up front if they allow pets and if they say no ask if you could negotiate an additional pet deposit. Most places are more lenient for cats than dogs.

I agree with above poster. You might have little problems getting a place that will take one cat, just be up front and promise to not get anymore that that one pet and the landlord might go for it.

Thanks for the posts everyone. I've been looking on craigslist a little. That's how I found where I live now. I heard University Village on 7th Ave allows pets, but the number I found for them just rings and goes to a fax machine every time I call.
@livethere, how much is rent in the WV building? I live near there now.

Thanks so much! That is a good deal. My electric is so high where I am now. I looked for info about the apartments online today but couldn't find any, but I found a number for the bulding manager this evening which I'm assuming is who I need to speak to about an apartment. Topix actually helped me lol yay :)
