Workers comp? If you we're hurt at work then it's covered. If they didn't pay into it then you would own the company by now.
They quit paying. Their doctor looked at me for 5 mins and said I could go back to work. My doctor and my sugeon said absolutely not. Since their doctor said that, they quit paying. I can't do anything about that. Believe me, I've tried. Just hope and pray you never get seriously hurt at work! Its not fair in any way, but thats the way they work. They pay these quacks to give them the decisions they want and to hell with us.

Sounds like a lawyer was needed. A good one. Lawyers jump all over these types of cases.

Lawyers get paid when you settle. Especially for workers comp personal injuries. No retainers. Open and shut case with a good lawyer. I'm thinking you took the settlement already though. Once you do you cannot go back for more. They always throw a few thousand at you and people are desperate enough to take it.

Do you think big pharmaceutical wants you well and cured? Open your eyes. They would be out of business. They want people sick but not too sick. They have to keep you alive taking their drugs every day. People amaze me how oblivious they are.

Then you haven't paid any attention to Medicare discussions over the last 5 years. Medicare is a model of cost efficiency. It's administrative costs are FAR lower than private companies. It's better than pretty much anyone else.
That's one reason so many folks wanted and still want single payer.
Jesus! You need to lay off the crack and stay away from Huffington post! Just google "Medicare waste" and see what happens! Literally lmao at your naivete!

What?.... Why do you constantly act like you fvcking know everything. Everyday youre here calling people morons and everyday i prove you wrong... This is 2013, you do realize your goofy liberal lies are easily verifiable right? Ever hear of a google search beetle brain? Liberals everywhere cringe when you open that big fat overworked mouth of yours...read and learn you obnoxious liberal dunce.

Not only is medicare broke, it has 104 trillion in unfunded liabilities...medicare is so broke its dept is over 6.5 times the entire US economy...

A "model of efficiency"? Lmmfao....

"Hereís some bad news: The latest report of the Social Security and Medicare trustees shows an unfunded liability for both programs of $63 trillion. That is equal to about 4.5 times the entire U.S. gross domestic product.
The unfunded liability is the amount we have promised in benefits, looking indefinitely into the future, minus the payroll taxes and premiums we expect to collect. Itís the amount we must have in the bank today, earning interest, for these entitlement programs to be solvent.

We not only donít have the money in the bank, no one has a serious plan to put it there.

Now ó some really bad news. The actual liability is almost twice what the government is reporting. In 2009, the trustees calculated the two programsí unfunded liability at about 6.5 times the size of the U.S. economy. But the next year the unfunded liability was cut in half. The reason:ďObamacare.Ē The minute President Barack Obama signed his health reform bill, he cut Medicareís unfunded liability by more than $50 trillion.
You would think this accomplishment would be an occasion for great joy ó for dancing and celebration in the streets. If youíre like most Americans, however, you probably havenít heard about it. Certainly, the Obama administration isnít talking.
Here is whatís going on: Obamacare uses cuts in Medicare to pay for more than half the cost of expanding health insurance for young people. So even if the Medicare cuts take place, they wonít reduce the governmentís overall obligations. They just replace entitlements for seniors with entitlements for young people. In addition, the health reform bill contains no serious plan for making Medicare efficient"...

The program is great if you are a welfare leech or someone who truly can't get health care. It is not so good if you are one of the working class who got stuck paying for somebody else. But, isn't that what this administration is about. Picking who wins and who loses. And in this case, the ever expanding welfare class wins and the ever decreasing working class loses. Take money from those who produce, and give it to those who do not, and buy your votes by becoming the government of Santa Clause.

This is a true progressive's wet dream. Expand the government dependent class to the point where the democrats will never be voted out of office. If Obama can get his immigration reform passed, it's over. Twelve million more government dependents overnight. One party rule is what you progressive want, right? It will be all rainbows and unicorns, although history has shown it has not worked too well in the past. But the ability to impose your will on those that do not agree with you has to leave you breathless. The thought of people like Obama, Pelosi, and Reid imposing their will on the unwashed masses leaves me breathless too. Pretty soon, we will be the country our founding fathers fled. But that won't be a problem, as you probably think the constitution is something that needs to be thrown out anyway.

Of course, we all know that if there were twelve million white illegal Norwegians in the country who were likely to vote Republican, fearless leader would fight just as hard to make them a part of our wonderful country. Am I right?
Why would 12 million Norwegians come here? Sorry, they already have a single payer system lol

<quoted text>Government mandated institutions are HOSPITALS! You see, the only type of medicine we here in America are allowed to have is the modern western civilization medicine (ie: synthetic drugs, dangerous surgical procedures, etc.). Do you really think health insurance companies want you to be healed, say, from cancer? Of course not. But they can't come right out and say that though. What the gov. can do however, is mandate that you have insurance and when you get sick you have to go to a hospital that is approved by our government. Mainstream media will never endorse herbalists, accupuncturists, or even chiropractors for that matter. Matter of fact, the FDA would love to phase out health food stores, accupuncturists, and chiropractors because they lose money if you are not sick. If i wanted to go to a proven herbalist to heal me, i would have to pay. But if i were to go to a hospital for dangerous treatments for the same ailment it would be paid for. They want you on the pills and in the hospitals because it is all about the MONEY!! Don't try to argue this one because this is fact. Anything that is said otherwise is just opinion, which i give no credence to.
"What I say is fact, what everyone else says is opinion" lmao thanks for the entertainment.

I, for one, am glad to finally be getting help. I have tried for over a year to get some form of medical treatment and keep getting told, if you had insurance, theres a lot more we could do. I have been fighting with the DHHR for over a year trying to get medicaid. I was hurt in 2011 at work. I broke my back and had to have back surgery. It was healing fine, then scar tissue started forming. I was told they could remove the scar tissue, but it would only come back worse. I'm physically unable to work and have been in the multi-year process of trying to get social security. If there was any way that I could work, believe me, I would be more than happy to be working. I got a letter in the mail saying that I would be signed up for medicaid starting January 1st. I could not be happier. If there is the slightest chance that I can recieve medical treatment finally with the possibility of getting back to work, I couldn't be anymore grateful for this program. So, not everyone recieving medicaid through this program are lazy azz people who don't want to work. If treatment for my problem helps me get back to work, I will gladly pay that extra money for someone like me who have been fighting with the system for years and who have fallen through the potholes in the system.
Not sure how you're not "insured" if you had an injury from work unless you didn't file for workers comp.
