Yes, people are dying to provide training to you at no cost. They do not want to be compensated for their time or the materials needed to train you.

If you want a better job, save up and pay for the training yourself.

You can't be bothered to pay for your own career training, yet I'm a skank?

I really don't need to get the facts as I have a job that does not entail wiping someone else's ass. You have fun with that!

Hunny you gotta start somewhere.. I am a 17 year old mother. Atleast i'm trying to make something wit my life and not live off of welfare like every other person in this shit hole town. And FYI! To be a registered nurse you have to first be a cna :) I'm sure you aren't no better then an RN. Ha.. now take a d@mn seat.

Actually no you don't have to be a CNA first to go to college to be a Registered Nurse. Good luck in your search and keep your head up.

Actually maybe you should take a d@mn seat and do a little more research before you start talking about things that you obviously know so little about. You DO NOT have to be a CNA before you become a nurse, where did you even hear bogus information like that?

Please don't put down CNA's . It takes a special kind of person to want to be a CNA. If they did not " wipe someone else's bottom" who would? I feel sorry for any of your family members who become ill. Who's gonna wipe their bottoms? Definitely not you!

The best Lpn's & Rn's were Cna's first.

Can't knock anyone for trying to better themselves. Sure, there are unflattering aspects to CNA work, but also a lot of uplifting ones. It's a job that'll become even more important as the baby boomers continue to retire. So yes, a lot of places know they'll need a critical mass of CNAs and will offer pay for training. Supply and demand.

So Handout...take a good look at your own life before you start throwing stones. I have a college education (several degrees) and a great job and I would never disparage someone trying to become gainfully employed, especially someone entering an important field. For all you know, your parents could someday be under the care of a CNA.

Good for you for wanting to get off welfare and better yourself! But, you really don't have to be a CNA before doing LPN or RN. By all means, you can if you'd like, but it isn't necessary.

I NEVER said that you couldn't be a CNA and then go on to be a nurse, I simply replied to your dumb@ss comment that you "had" to be a CNA in order to become a nurse.

Lisaaa or Erikkka whatever your name is, I shouldn't have been so b*tchy in my earlier comments. Both Heritage Center and Huntington Health and Rehab offer the classes, if I am not mistaken they are only 'free' if you agree to work for that company for a certain period of time, and if you quit in that time period they will send you a bill for the classes. I actually worked for Heritage for several years and a couple of my friends have been sent a bill for these classes when they didn't stay with the company however, I am not certain as to if they can actually make you pay it. I was/am in no way putting down CNA's, if it weren't for them then those of us that are nurses would never be able to get our work done, I have the upmost respect for anyone that chooses the healthcare field. And again I am sorry for snapping at you when you mistakenly thought that you had to be a CNA in order to become a nurse. Best of luck!

Actually, on another thread that she started, she asked about clothing vouchers...

But, as mentioned, at least she is wanting to better herself.
