Why are adults talking shit about kids? That's pretty messed up. Get a hobby or something, you're embarrassing yourselves.

This post is crazy! These girls are doing great! The new coaching staff has turned things around. For years the HHS cheerleaders stood around and were more worried about talking to friends than cheering. Now they are actually cheering! The people in the bleachers need to start cheering and quit complaining!!

Well kind of funny when I don't have a daughter. I am the proud parent of a son. But I do enjoy helping the cheerleaders, but this squad is a joke compared to other schools I have watched.
I really hope that you aren't stupid enough to think somebody will believe this bull. You are an angry parent get over yourself.

<quoted text>Maybe we as fans would HELP the cheerleaders, if they were better. I personally feel like we are at a Youth League Game when watching them. I have always helped the cheerleaders, when I watch my son, but not this year.
Boy you HHS people don't ever learn. Way to self destruct! You don't need other schools to talk bad about you , you take care of that business yourselves . Lol. Fans that only "help " their cheerleaders unless they are good, now that's some Nice support. nice school spirit. By the way were you at the game Friday night? Because the student section my husband and i heard was totally supporting the cheerleaders .. Here's a thought , watch your son next game instead of the cheer girls and keep your mean comments and opinions to yourself because in case you haven't noticed , nobody else seems to agree with you! Keep up the good work HHS cheerleaders .

I noticed and even heard others, in the stands, commenting that all the cheers say are "green and gold". What bothered me a little more is that when players were injured they continued to cheer and twice they started new cheers! That shows that the coaches need to pay attention or teach the girls some manners.

This is typical Huntington junk. You all sit there and critique kids and the coaches. You all know more than all the coaches and complain about every little thing. Try supporting instead of complaining. Try positive instead of negative. You say terrible things about Billy Seals, but look what he has done in five years. Now you say bad things about this new cheer coach and the changes she has brought about. My daughter cheered at HHS a few years ago and I can tell you that from what I saw on Friday things have changed for the better! The last coach was a joke. I wish my daughter could have cheered for this coach. Keep it up!

First, no one cares about the cheerleaders except cheerleader moms and wannabe cheerleader moms. No one complains about them except the wannabe cheerleader moms.
Second, the current coach is new, but is a former high school cheerleader and knows what she's doing, unlike most cheerleading coaches. My guess is the team will do well at their competitions once she's had some time with the program. Not that anyone actually cares, because it's cheerleading.
Third, the current coach is super hot. She can do whatever she wants as far as I'm concerned.

I don't think the young lady on the team that is married is relevant to this conversation. And am can't really think of a reason you are hating on her. She is one of the sweetest kids I know. The reason for this thread is to talk about the fact that the Cheerleaders need to go back to E Team Youth League and cheer as that is the caliber of their cheers.

At least that is the way the coach treats them, since she has to sit right up on them and help them with their pathetic cheers. When I compare them to other schools I have seen I am ashamed of what they are doing. It is not the girls fault they are bad it is all on the coaches.

You are ashamed of their pathetic cheers? That hardly seems like something to be ashamed of. Take a close look at your life. I suspect you have much more to be ashamed of than your "son's" high school cheerleading team's "pathetic" cheers. What kind of person worries about that?

Yes, you started this thread to badmouth the cheerleading coach. Much to your surprise, the overwhelming majority of the people that responded think you're an idiot.

I really don't see that people think that I am an idiot. Or that they have really commented on the cheers that are being done. So maybe you need to read. We will see how well they do when it comes time for competition. Hopefully they spend more them improving on that aspect, as they were a joke last year at competion.

Being from Washington Seattle and the fact you SAY you have no personal interest in HHS cheerleaders only that your son plays football for the school i find it weird that you were At last years cheer competition to see how well or poorly the girls did . I agree with someone's post earlier , you have a personal issue with someone involved with HHS cheer leading . Nice try to get people to agree with you on here and start something negative . but from the looks of these posts you're all alone in your thoughts.

Actually I have a family member who goes to these competitions and she was present at the one at Spring Valley last year. And believe me the school that she was with wins Nationally. All I want is a cheer more than Green and gold or one of the other cheers that are not relevant to what is going on on the field. Good cheers uplift our team and our fans. I want to support the cheerleaders and their endevours, but with All those people in the stands, we should have blown the other teams away with our sound. But that didn't happen. The girls look bored and I can't blame them.

And BTW I never said my son played football, I just stated that I have a son, who graduated already. I have been coming to the games for 7-8 yrs to cheer on the Highlanders. Again Learn to read!

You're right, no one commented on the actual cheers being performed. I think most people find them appropriate or just don't care. Except you. You feel ashamed.

The fact that you don't see that everyone thinks you're an idiot confirms that you are, in fact, an idiot.

That is too funny. I couldn't help but think the same thing when I saw the Highlanders on Friday. It is a shame their ghetto football team can't play as good as the Wildcats.

I had daughter who cheered at HHS for 4 years and from what i have seen this year this squad will get butts kicks when it comes to the cheerleading competition this year because you have to be able to do more the scream lets go Highlanders or lets go green and gold. I have read the entire post serval times before posting and Hmmm never said they was bad or great another poster did so there is more just one person who thinks they need to step up their game before trying win a cheer competition, and people if you think are they doing great then you need to turn ESPN and watch some of the high school competition they have on there and maybe you will seen excatly what hmmmm is talking about.

I think that the girls need to learn how to tell time and show up at the game before they start playing the national anthem and if they can`t be there on time to at least stand still and quit talking to each other while its being playing. and when did the players and cheerleaders quit taking a knee when a player was injured this was always a show of respect back when i was playing and now the cheerleaders are doing cheers and players are moving around showing no respect. we has county are heading to hell in a hand basket as my daddy used to say
