There was a shooting inside Barcode last night, we were across the street and saw people scattering like cockroaches. The police showed up but they more less walked around the parking lot chatting it up. HPD is worthless...but yes there was a shooting inside of Barcode last night. Since I didn't see a ambulance I would guess no one got hurt.

You are pathetic. You don't know anything about Jefferson Ave, because if you did, then you would see the nice homes that are on that street, drive from 5thst W and down several blocks. Those are not druggie homes. They belong to Lawyers, city and state workers, business people. You don't know all your facts. And please let me educate you: drugs are in all neighborhoods, regardless rich or poor. Some ppl do not have a choice where they live. Drugs does not discriminate. It is a shame this young girl has been shot regardless what may be the situation. You may be angry, but I don't care. This is a human, her life is important to those who love and care avout her and by the grace of God she will live. I see you are a person who needs prayers and I will keep you in mine tonight. I feel sad that you are a heartless person, I truly hope you will never have to feel the pain the family members and friends of this child may be feeling. I'm sure you don't live in a glass house. Not only do your words you speak are if ignorance, but of a person who has no morales or value for another person's life. I am proud to say I raised my children and have friends and family who have compassion for mankind and know we can not control everything, but we pray and believe in God.
You had me all the way up until you started preaching about God saving her life. If she lives, thank the doctors, not a mythical magic man in the sky. One pair of hands working will accomplish more than 1000 hands clasped in prayer. You don't need myths and magic for miracles and morals.

Plus, I agree it is sad this girl got shot and not EVERY home in that area is drug riddled. You were also correct that drugs effect EVERY social class, rich and poor. However, drugs are more prevalent in that area than they are in most upper class areas, it has gone down hill fast in recent years. The only people with any class left there are there because they are either elderly or unable to move because even residence of that area stuck in those positions admit the drugs have taken over. And, when you add in the surrounding circumstances of this shooting, it isn't far fetched to assume drugs were involved. The man you are arguing with could have been more articulate and empathetic in his description of the area and kept the assumption that it was drug related and that the girl was involved in sexual activity to himself, but, honestly, he is just saying what most are thinking but are just too tactful or considerate to say. That makes him rude, not wrong.

I'm a woman. If stating facts makes me rude, oh well. I'm not going to sugar coat facts to save feelings.

I have no problem admitting I do not value the life of druggies. If ten more of them get shot, that's ten less that are running around. If you are proud that you have taught your children they are on the same level as drug addicted trash, then my morals and values are not what you need to pray about. You are correct that I do not live in a glass house. I do not do drugs or keep company with those that do.
Please educate me some more about how "drugs does not discriminate." While I'm studying that, you can read an English book. And be sure to let the good Lord know while you're praying for me just what a disgusting person I am. From my understanding, Christians are not to look down on others. I'm sure that like all good Bible-thumpers, you are exempt from that and have been chosen to do God's work for him. Druggies everywhere should breathe a sigh of relief that in your position of high authority, you will pardon them from hurting others around them by stealing, shooting and prostituting, but those of us who know better than to behave in such a manner are condemned.
I never said I approved of their lifestyle. What I don't like is the fact people pre-jusge without knowing the facts first. This is a young girl who got sot and is in critical condition and that is sad. I do not assume all ppl who live on Jefferson Ave is drug addicts, because u know for a fact they are not. My children are very well educated, compassionate people. May you be blessed because you really do need God in your life. And by the way, I see that you have such an input on so many other posts. I think you are a lonely woman who is striving for attention from anyone who will show it to you, sad, furthermore I did see your english manner changed on those posts too, maybe you need the english book more than I do. I'm done talking with you, have a bless day.

Is blunt force trauma or stabbing somehow more noble than shooting? Being a person who is able to settle disputes without weaponry, I'm unaware of the morality in violent methods.

In one of the early articles I read about the West Huntington shooting, they mentioned that there was a false alarm for a shooting on 4th Ave. Sounds like Barcode. This would explain the casual attitude of the Huntington police.

She wanted that life and thought it was cool. The guns the drugs just look at her Facebook. Can't walk around acting like a wannabe and not expect to get it. U want that lifestyle? Then be ready for the dark side. Lesson learned don't go down that road

There was no shooting at barcode over the weekend. Police found no bullet holes, no shell casings, and nothing else to prove there was a shooting. It turned out to be people busting beer bottles against the wall that caused a popping sound that someone thought was gun shots.

Really? Someone breaking a beer bottle and it sounded like a popping noise??? Come on!! The music was so loud you wouldn't have been able to hear a beer bottle break. Everyone knows it happened but it is supposed to be kept hush hush! There are guns that don't leave any casings. Thr place is a rat hole!!

I thought you were talking about the barcodes on the products sailing in the market at the very first sight of it, and I want to share the tool I am using to deal with it:http://www.yiigo.com/net-do cument-image-plugin/barcode-pl ugin/
But I realized that you were talking about a pub? I have never been there before? What happened?
