When you look at what Ford and the other American mang. co. are offering as far as hybrids you can understand why they are not buying them. Except for Toyota & Honda the hybrids offered such as Escape you get about 2-4 mpg more, it doesn't make it worth a persons investment in new technology they are not sure of. But look at Prius and the Honda hybrids you are looking at close to 50 mpg. Even the Toyota Camray hybrid does not get a lot more mpg. When that changes you will see more buying hybrids. I just traded a 20 mpg Outback for a Prius averaging 47.5 per gal and dont even have it broke in yet.
