My family recently bought a summer membership to the Huntington YMCA. I thought it would give me an outlet for the kids this summer. Get them out of the house. Let them go swim and burn off the typical kids energy. I recently found out that they are closing for a week in July for an annual cleaning. I can understand the need for that but then I hear that they are relining the swimming pools and they may be closed for over 6 weeks. That defeats the whole purpose of why we decided to do the summer membership. Why would they wait til summer to do this and worse part is that they won't refund us or extend the days of the membership to make up the difference.

Should have gone to the MU Rec Center. Much better place for kids & adults.

I just wish they would have told us about the pool shutting down up front because I would have explored other options.

I usually go to the Ashland YMCA during the summer shutdown.

I think the YMCA owns the Kennedy Center Pool, your membership should be good there.
