I didn't have power for 3 days and not able to watch any news. Did Mayor Wolfe make a statement to the residents about places for shelter or to get water ? Did he even tour the damaged areas ? Where was the national guard ? Where was the food and water from other states that we the citizens of WV sent truckloads to them when they had no power for days ?

Are you for real? Have you read or watched the news at all lately? Everything you're bitching about is happening every day. Stop being a moron.

I'm sure it was an EBT card that you spent $200 on groceries with. MOST people that have that kind of actual cash to spend on groceries don't even get on Topix you idiot. Take your groceries receipt along with proof of no power to the DHHR and maybe they'll give u another $200 to spend.

The National Guard? Are you f*cking joking? I love how all you people bitch and cry because you can't get on Facebook.

I was without power for two days, I drank lots of water and bought some canned goods and was just fine. Sure the weather was uncomfortable, but oh well, get over it. How do you think people survived before electricity?

Oh so sorry to bust your bubble little Debbie snack cake. I own my home and I had power all weekend. If I would have lost power, I would have started my generator and powered up my whole house so I could have stayed cool sitting in my centrally cooled house watching my big screen television.
I did however invite a few people over that I know did not have power so themselves and their children could cool down. I also invited some elderly acquaintances over so they could cool down.

For your information, if "resident" has power to bitch on Topix, I'm sure they could've found their way to a radio, newspapers, television or Facebook.

Cindy, don't get mad because you can't hack it. The National Guard isn't coming to restore your Facebook connection or your TV, so your going to have to do without "The Price Is Right" for a while. Try reading a book or talking to your neighbors.

. I am lucky to have never lost power. Why do you think that people losing power is funny ? You are one sick minded person and like other people posted on here, I bet you stayed cool living in your parents basement.

That isn't very polite to wish harm upon someone's home. I thought I did a pretty good thing by inviting people I knew that had children and some elderly over to stay cool.
If I knew you, I would have invited you over as well, but now that you've made threats to me and wished harm on my humble home. I wouldn't invite you over for anything.
I hope your day gets better. Also, I wish you the best.

Should I say it slower or maybe draw you a picture? If the original poster could get on topix to bitch, he or she could've read a newspaper or watched tv and discovered the answer to their asinine questions. You need to get out of the sun. It's frying what little brain capacity you have left.

They wanted to know where was the mayor during this mess. Newspapers and local news didn't tell us this either. Why don't you quit bitching about other post when your responses don't have anything to do with what is being discussed.

I beg to differ. Read Tuesday's paper about the crews coming from different parts of the country. Same newspaper also announces all the cooling stations, city garbage pick-up and shelters. Where do you think that info came from, geniuses? Hello...does it need to say, "Mayor Wolfe says..." for you guys to get a clue? By the way, both the newspaper and local tv stations have also mentioned the National Guard's involvement. But I wouldn't expect people who turn to Topix for all their news to actually go to the news SOURCES. Geesh.
