As an unbiased person, yes I think today they could have. Miami (OH) is a much better team than W&M and Marshall laid it on them.

If you couldn't win when you had guys like Moss and Pennington, you couldn't win now with scrubs! Do you really think that game meant anything to the Mounties? We play Oklahoma next and you play Gardner-Web! Guess who might have been looking forward to their next game just a tiny bit?! Get back to me on how great MooU is after your only halfway real game at VT.

One more thing. With realignment, MooU will never get the chance to play with big brother again. Your team has no support from your own fans. I was at the game last night and saw half of the 27000 so called fans leave before the half!!! That game was not decided until about 4 min left in the 3rd when MooU went up 35-14! Sorry support from sorry fans. The weather stayed perfect and the Stewarts hotdogs were yummy.

Wvu is going to get absolutely destroyed in the big 12 this year. They couldn't compete last year when they actually had a team.

No we could not beat wvu this year. I wish my fellow Marshall fans would get over wvu. We had our butts handed to us year after year by wvu. We aren't going to beat them. They are not afraid to play us. They have nothing to gain. They consistently proved that they are better than us. Yea our fans suck. Hanging in the parking lot thinking you look cool drinking instead of watching the game...embarrassing. You people do not look cool. You look like a bunch of drunks when you do that.

We are a bunch of drunks lady...we're football fans for Pete's sake. At least we don't beat up pregnant women for wearing the wrong shirt down here. Now go find a thread about sewing or something and let the men talk.

Wish in one hand then defacate in the other! See which one fills up first! After 7 years of those "herd ons" going limp, you need to get over WVU! It will be over 15 years before they even go into talks about another series because the last was a complete disaster. Getting beat 7 out of 7 is not a competition, it's an embarrassment! Zero to eternity against WVU in football, 12 total games and only one in the whole series was even worth being called a game. Worry about the future and not the past!

You're absolutely correct. I'm a herd fan but it's time for us to move on. It's pretty bad that we dropped 7 out of 7. I'm embarrassed that anyone whose a herd fan even wants another game. I apologize on behalf of all herd fans.

Im a osu fan so I don't care either way but I can say beyond a shadow of a doubt that if the two teams that played yesterday would have played each other that Marshall would have won by at least 3 td's. Marshall played a far better team than William and Mary and dominated them. Wvu played a school with 8k students and barely walked away with a 7 point win. If wvu would have played Miami or Marshall yesterday they would have lost. Just my unbiased opinion.

If WVU wins three games this year, it would be a shock. Their team has fallen apart, and speculation is that it will take a new head coach to fix it. The question isn't if Marshall would beat them this year, but how badly.

Im going out on a limb and guessing you're a WVU fan. Am I right? Reading comprehension has failed you. I am NOT a Marshall fan as I clearly stated. You can deny reality all you want, but that fact is, you will be 9th or 10th in the Big 12. Play your cards right and you might be second best in WV. University of Charleston would give you a good game.

I watched the MU/ Miami game. The first half was hard to watch, but football is two halves, not one. The stadium had a lot of empty seats, bathrooms were nasty, drunks were everywhere, the turf looked 100 years old, food was okay, fans were okay, and parking was free. A nearby fan told me he got his tickets for $15.00 on the Internet. He was puzzled why the stadium was not filled to capacity. I just like to tell everyone the way I see it. No lies and no apologizes. If MU did play WVU this year I do believe the it would be a tossup. One more thing to MU. Please hire somebody to clean your stadium. It looked NASTY, and I was there way before the game actually started.

Hanging in the parking lot drinking? Someone's obviously never been to the Blue Lot in Morgantown.
