Brilliant.
Or if you look at other countries that don't have the nauseating glut of guns like our country does and has a minuscule fraction of gun related deaths like we do you could have a different opinion. You people act like the biggest dumbest babies in the works crying about your automatic weapons and 30 round clips. The single purpose for those things are to kill more people faster.

Get over having small penises. You aren't Rambo.

I don't understand why people are so upset about the idea of stricter gun laws.

If you're an honest, law abiding, mentally stable person, you have nothing to worry about.

Will it solve the problem? No. But it will keep guns out of the hands of the people who we don't want to have them.

And do you really need semi-automatic weapons and assault rifles? For what?

Do you know how many guns are 'semi-automatic'?

I have a .22 rifle made back in the 1940's that was passed down from my Father. It would be illegal if all 'semi-automatics' banned.

Also, every handgun but revolvers would be banned.

I think people need to be educated on this before they comment.

Some people don't even know what a semi-automatic is.

They hear 'semi-automatic' and see a vision of some character from Call of Duty shooting a fully automatic machine gun.

That is not what it is...

Do you really need the sh!t you have?

Murder is illegal, what law do you think would have changed anything?

How about strict or controls on meds

How about banning violent video games

How about banning violence in movies and tv

How about banning violent lyrics in music

None of my "sh!t" can kill people. If someone breaks into my home, they might be able to steal a butcher knife, but I'm positive that they wouldn't be able to go on a mass killing spree with that.

We do own one gun, but its in a hidden lock box and the only people who are even aware of its existence are me and my husband.

I'm not against guns, they just need to be harder to get.

And yes, to all the things you mentioned.

There should absolutely be stricter laws on meds.

I would absolutely support a ban on violent video games. My children don't play them at all, violent or otherwise.

Violent movies and television shows should not be seen by children, ever.

And I don't support violent lyrics in music either.

The problem does not lie in the possession of firearms - it is the people who possess them. Is the well being of your children a family not worth an extra day or two wait time? Is it really necessary to own a stockpile of weapons designed to kill quicker?

Harder to get? I have to show ID, fill out a form and undergo a background check to buy a firearm, my constitutional right.

Do you go through that to vote? Do you go through that for religion? Do you go through that for free speech?

Harder to get would not have changed the horrible thing that happened last week.

Why does the gubmint have armed guards at the corp of engineers, the VA, the social security office but cancel funding for schools?

What happened last week shows how badly our society has deteriorated, not because of guns but because of dozens of other things

I have never known voting, free speech, or religion to ever have killed anyone, let alone multiple people at once.

No one is proposing taking away your second amendment rights. If you aren't planning on using your weapons for anything other than hunting or target practice (or the unlikely event of self defense), then what are you worried about?

I'm pretty sure that when the right to bear arms was put into the constitution, it was to protect your right to hoarse a small arsenal of deadly weapons, easily accessible to anyone willing to jump through your "man cave" window.

However, I don't disagree that guns are the cause of violence. Too many parents are letting TV and videogames babysit their kids. They don't pay enough.attention to who their children are friends with. But the fact still remains that if those people had a more difficult time accessing a gun, tragedies like Sandy Hook could be avoided.
I don't know what the answer is, truth be told, but I'm certainly willing to try, without complaint, to regulate access to guns.

Never known religion to kill anyone? What about 9/11 when the terrorist thought by killing Americans they would given passage into their heaven?
Or the Crusades? In the first crusade, Christians killed tens of thousands of people they called "infidels". The Children's Crusade (1212) caused the deaths of nearly 50,000 children.
There were the the Salem witch trials (1692) in America, when all those women were burned at the stake.
Joan of Arc being murdered because she heard the voice of God and people thought she was a witch.
Preachers sentenced to death and executed thousands during the Inquisition (1233-1834) for heresy and witchcraft.
The 17th Century Thirty Years War (Catholics v. protestants) wiped out tens of millions in Europe.
In the Taiping Rebellion in China in the 1850's a Christian cult started a war that resulted in the slaughter of twenty million people.
The Holocaust even had a religious argument of the Jews Killed Jesus and six million Jews were murdered.
Muslims and Christians in Bosnia reached a death toll of over 250,000.

Tell me again how people never used religion to kill hundreds of people?
