Just what Huntington needs is more fees! Why don't the polotitions keep their greedy hands out of the pot and quit lining their pockets with the city's money. This is the exact reason why I want out of the city limits ! Fee's ... This city is rediculasly over fee'd and taxed as it is.

Whats a few bucks to have better drainage during storms? Ya want a better city? Ya going to have to work;pay for it. Ain't just going to happen. And people ain't going to do the work for free. So yes a fee to pay to have our streets flood free. Isn't it worth it? I think so. I am willing to pay up to a 2$ fee a week to get the sewers in better shape and work efficiently.
I am ready to help this city move forward.

If you aren't part of the solution.......you are part if the problem.

I love our city too, but I feel it is the cities responsibility to keep the storm sewers unclogged and running free. I don't see where residents should be paying to get them in shape. Our water lines in the city are old and needing replaced are we going to have to pay for their replacement also?

The city needs to use the fees they take now as they are supposed to before they take more. Even then, it's still filling a well with an eye dropper.

I too am against this fee. We pay a municipal fee that covers floods and fires. Why couldn't that money be used to fix the drain problems? I pay over $600 a year for municipal fees for a small amount of property.

It is all about revenue generation. The City officials could care less about services. They see an opportunity to implement a new fee/tax. And they are all over it.

Nope. Mayor Syeve is calling the water line fairy and she's going to drop new lines in right to your front door!

Yeah, you are gonna have to pay. No free rides....

Organize the non employed blacks into chain gangs and make them fix the streets. Hire some white correctional officers to oversee them lol.

Part of the problem is that the lazy asses hasn't cleaned the drain system in over 30years!! Maybe if this damn city would stop building on to that damn University and letting them building million dollar buildings they would be able to afford to clean the drain system that should have been cleaned 25years ago!

I don't think the city is paying for those buildings at the university. Check your info.

I can't wait to start paying the flood fee. As a matter of fact I'm going to go ahead and pay five years in advance. I gotta go take a crap.

Steve Williams has done an outstanding job thus far. The sewer drains have needed fixed for over 30 years. I am just glad that FINALLY we have a Mayor that is approaching the problem! I never have seen residents and businesses work so hard and quickly fixing up their properties like they have after Steve was elected. He is doing an excellent job! We should do nothing but support the man!
