i've heard about it. my fifth grade teacher (Mrs. Adkins at lavalette elementary) told us a story around halloween and swore up and down that it was true. said she was coming home one night and it was raining and there was a woman walkin down the road. she said she picked her up and when she stopped to let her out she wasn't there. the story is there used to be a church somewhere around there and a woman was supposed to be gettin married and on her way to the church she was in a wreck and got killed.

you all need to go to www.shadowlands.com click on local then click west virginia the ghost on 5th hill is listed. shadowlands is a site the normal people can request an investigation. the only way that the story stays on that site is if shadowlands investigate and finds something to the story. woman on 5th st is their she is real.

I have heard this story since I was a small child. My uncle lived in Lavalette and would tell it. I grew up and moved to Lavalette and have been here for years. I have made tons of trips up and down that hill at evey hour imaginable. Have not seen crap! You need to concentrate on deer, more than fairy tales while driving Rt152. Looking for ghosts and not paying attention to our wildlife on WV roads, will make you the next big ghost story.

This is absolutely true. I had a friend in high school who experienced the same thing. It was raining so he stopped and asked if she needed a ride. He told me she was dressed all in white, so the wedding thing does make sense. She was gone, vanished when he stopped at a red light! So creepy! This was almost 20 years ago.

There are these "bride ghosts" , in every damn part of the country. I believe in the supernatural , but these hitch hiking brides are so overdone. Lol

Ghosts only appear to the people that believe in them. There is no afterlife whatsoever. If you believe otherwise, that is merely your ego, which cannot accept your own mortality.
