What does it mean for you?

Socialists donít make money. Social Democrats make money the same way every other capitalist does. You need to learn that folks on the left in the US donít want socialism. They want social Democracy, which is capitalism modified by strong regulation and redistribution, so that the benefits of capitalism a shared more widely, rather than being concentrated in the business owner.

They work and they gain money. But in socialism like communism the money goes to the government .The difference is that ,socialism gives you few money and allows you to have property.

If you mean Marxist socialist countries ,plenty of money can be made if an individual is close to the upper echelons of political decision making . Well connected individuals and military officers take advantage of opportunities in procuring themselves and close acquaintances of scarce basic and luxury goods, reselling them at premium prices far above the fixed price that governments impose
Normally the profit comes as prices are imposed by decree and not by demand and supply.

Coincidentally, just the other day I listened to a radio program about the Democratic Socialists. Do you have any idea how many people are actually signed up to be one?

The number you are so terrified of is,,,, 45 thousand. Yep, in the whole country, from coast to coast, there are only 45 thousand official Democratic Socialists.
That is what you are afraid of, not many more people than attended an 80's KISS concert at the Huntington Civic center.

They do not understand it, RxUSH trained these dogs into believing socialism is a deragative term, like liberal. They do not know the definition. These idiots derided Obama because he was one a "commuinity organizer" like that is a very bad thing..

They are just flat out stupid and it needs to be contiued to point it out. They do not know they are socialists themselves, by definition. The socialism fearmongering was started by the rich and powerful during the depression, to sucker voters into voting for their interests instead...

In the 2017 election, fifteen candidates who were members of the Democrat Socialist of America were elected to office in thirteen states, most notably Lee Carter in the Virginia House of Delegates, adding to the twenty members already holding elected office nationwide.

In 2018 Cynthia Nixon, a progressive activist who is challenging Gov. Andrew Cuomo in New Yorkís Democratic gubernatorial primary in September, has also aligned herself with the group.

In 2018 DSA has endorsed 42 people running for office at the federal, state and local levels this year. These endorsements span 20 states, including Florida, Hawaii, Kansas and Michigan.
Hawaii state Rep. Kaniela Ing, 29, said he decided to run for Congress because he was encouraged by Ocasio-Cortez. He also doesnít shy away from his status as a Democratic socialist.

What old sh!tstain fails to tell you is the Dems had to rig the primary for Hillary in order to keep red diaper doper baby and avowed commie Bernie Sanders from winning. The Democrat party has left the reservation. It is the party of kooks, weirdos, open borders, high taxes, illegals over citizens, and free sh!t for every one. You guys own it, at least have the balls to admit it.

You might also have noticed that when righties point to "failed socialist countries", the countries they are pointing at are authoritarian dominated countries, not actual socialist ones.

The bulk of the USA's major allies have a hard socialist lean, do well, and have populations that are mostly happy with their style of government.

The USA is in part, socialist, and has been since before the revolution. On the whole, this has worked well for us.

Closed borders do not work. You would have to close the Canadian border and wall the country from the oceans and the Gulf. They will still come. Those guys are smarter than you are and that is not saying much...

The white trash that spews right wing propaganda Is a much bigger danger to this country than they are...

The Democrat plan:

Ignore current immigration law and do away with ICE.
Flood the country with third world immigrants.
Create a permanent underclass that is dependent on government in order to put in place one party rule for a lifetime.

Sounds commie to me. Or at least like the banana republics you guys seem to adore so much.

Liberalism. Ideas so good, they have to be mandatory. Because no one in their right mind is going to vote for them.

That is what you are, you are just too stupid to see it. I do not support Trump, you do. He used Russia to help him and he is saddled in debt with that country. That makes you a commie by association with your support of a commie bred candidate..

You ain't the sharpest knife in the drawer and definately a few McNuggest short of a happy meal. Do not blame me...

Geez, you righties are really stuck in a rut with your lies.

No one is calling for either.

But it is interesting to note that the USA had de facto open borders for all but maybe the last 40 or 50 years.

This election will be Socialism put forth by the Democrats versus American Democracy supported by the Republicans. Guess which strategy will win. Another crushing defeat for the Liberals. Come on 2020.

The Democrats: No leaders
No new direction
No new Plans for their party or country
No platform at all
No longer a viable political group

The liberals answer to a non longer valid Democrat party is to push Socialism.

The only GOP nominee that ran on an anti-socialist platform was Wendell Willkie in 1940, it was his only issue, because of TVA. He got drubbed in the polls, allwing FDR to become the first (and now permanently) president to win a third term. He is not well known historically and the only media reference to him is that he was mentioned by name by a gremlin in a Bugs Bunny cartoon that still shows up in Looney Tunes reruns...

Ronald Reagan railed against socialism and the TVA and he ended up fired from GE, who sponsored his TV show circa 1962. GE was a contributor to TVA...
