WOW, they can afford a $300,000 machine and don't have the means to get gravel??? wonder if the gravel fairy is related to the tooth fairy and cleaning fairy?? if so, the much needed repairs will never happen.

Not to mention the terrible 'park' for our children. Centennial park is very nice, but not for kids. Kids have nothing to do here. Why not have a game center or of the like in the old 49-n-more? Huntington has the ability to fix rds properly and bring new revenue in from other communities if they would quit padding the pockets of the officials. Proven fact if you improve and add the rewards will overflow w/positive revenue, community growth and togetherness. But negative officials allowed to stay will only add more mud in the hole that we're stuck in.

Nothing new will come here w/out a postive projection... and that won't happen until we spring clean our dirty house, so to speak.

GatorBait0417, hard to get positive projection out of negative people and from MY experiences, nothing but negative from the "top dogs" of the city administration.
I think something for kids to do that will keep them off the streets and out of trouble, and still be fun for them and their family, would be wonderful for Huntington.

I know exactly what you're talkin' bout... City don't know what they missed until its too late w/your hubby. But you know, long time ago even our grocery store was hiring only kids of ppl that were, ugh top citizens... Shame too, I refuse to go because of that and another issue. Local money goin' elsewhere from stiff upper lips.

And people wonder why today's kids are so out of control.... look at what they have been taught, all to often, by too many who don't have any morals or standards. As for the issue with my hubby, can't really comment on here (too many lies were told by other people) so I will have to leave that alone for now, but I'm sure you have heard all the rumors. I will just say that IN MY OPINION he was treated unfairly.(I put it like that so no one can say I don't know what I'm talking about)

Just to get this thread back on track, there will be three council members with terms expiring in 2013, they are Willie Ricks, Keith Malone, and Lamar Denby.

Inacar, you are right to get this thread back to active again, the public and citizens NEED to know who their current council members are and who is planning on running for the positions that are coming up. Thanks!!!

We need people to run that are not "sweepers". We need people to run for it that will stand up and take action or at least bring each issue to the table!

Inacar why don't you run for one of the positions? You make some very good points on here and seem to have some good knowledge on things.

I hope between now and the election we will find someone to fill the spots needed. Let's just keep every possibility open till election time.

I want to thank everyone for their comments on any thread that has been made since I joined Topix.

I can't say I think all the comments was nice or that I agreed with them. But it doesn't matter, nice or not, I appreciate them.

I especially appreciated all informative posts and the posts give appreciation to me.

Topix has been so good to me. All and All, most posts have been fairly clean. A little too much rumor has been posted especially where it concerns marital affairs. We are all human though.

Let continue to strive to make this a clean, informative forum with our posts.

The thread "Should City Manager Milstead Resign?" was started by "KeepeOfTheLaw" on May 3, 2012 and has over 600 postings before as of November 20, 2012. This thread has the most postings made to it in Huntington Forums. The question posed by this thread by its title has certainly hit a nerve. It by far has been the most interesting thread. This thread started with a simple question, " How does everyone feel about City Manager Bruce Milstead now?" Of interesting note, post #666 belongs to me. I guess that means I am the devil. LOL.

Tell me when this thread is updated:
