He had such a humor that anyone who spent time with him would appreciate. He was polite and respectful of all adults he came in contact with and he will be missed by all who's life he has touched.

The toxicology reports came back and there was NO ALOCHOL and NO DRUGS in his system...also the police have determined that there was no evidence of speeding.
This was an accident. Sad but true.
Brandon you will be missed

To everyone who reads this on newsday.com ,
My name is kevin. I am brandons brother, who turned 16 3.5 days before the accident and 4 days before the death itself. For all the bums out there. Brandon skidded. The truck that he rammed into was in the left lane, where on the street that the truck was on says "TRUCKS STAY RIGHT". brandon crashed into the truck about head first. The major reports that came back were NO DRUGS and no alcohol, not a single dot. they also said that he was not speeding, SO STOP SAYING IT. Amazingly, bran did not die at the scene. he died 10 hours later. It was not bad driving. It was a freak accident that, to be honest, could definitely not have happened, or at least been that serious. It is devastating to see people base my older brothers accident on other teenagers' accidents. to all that comment positively thank you very much and to people like andy cee, get a frickin life you bum
THanks to all for the support who have supported, it has tremendously helped my family and i get through this horrifying event that has taken place in our lives.

I hope things are settling down for your family. I just dropped off an envelope at your front door with a sympathy card inside and a contribution card through the Jewish National Fund where I had a tree planted in Israel in Brandon's memory. This tree will grow in honor of Brandon. He will sorely be missed but he will always be with us in our memories. My heart is pained for your loss. I hope this small token will help with keeping his memory alive.

I want to make sure that you understand what I meant by "settle down." I know the feeling of losing someone you love and that terrible feeling of loss that is always carried with you but the meaning of "settle down" to me is more of a coming to terms with the loss of that someone. As I mourn my own losses I became angry. Even though it has been almost two years for one of my losses and almost a year for my other. I wondered why God had to take them from me. I was thinking that there are terrible people walking the face of this earth who shouldn't be and the wonderful people ... the loving people ... the people who gave so much of themselves are taken away. I rationalized this in the only way I knew how. I said to myself...that God only wants the good ones. The angry, evil ones still have to be here to pay for their evilness and perhaps learn to be better people like the ones who are with God now. That made it easier for me to "come to terms" with them not being with me anymore. I hope I have cleared that up a little. I am a mother and can not even imagine the loss of my baby.....who is now 16. Life is what happens when we are busy making plans. So, we must all try to be prepared for the unexpected and tell the ones we love that we truly do love them. Take care and know that I will not forget anyone who has touched my life in a positive way. There will always be a place in my heart for each and every one of them. Rest in peace Brandon Lustig.

If people who knew Brandon want to express their feelings for him here they should be able to. Lee, I don't know who you think you are to tell people what to say and what not to say but it is not your place to do so. In addition, everyone who doesn't have anything nice to say then your comments are unnecessary.

I feel sorry for those Wheatley High School kids (now most of them in college) who will live through the second anniversary of their beloved friend Brandon. But if I am correct about that school and its students, they'll prevail in their sorrow and perhaps do a memorial service in the snow after Christmas. Good luck, young men and women.
