They still want more. Housing advocates that live nowhere near Huntington Station. The builders and developers that keep pressure on politicians by using housing advocates to attain the zoning changes needed for more and more high density housing. With traffic and crime and pollution high in areas of these housing developments one would think enough already. But no. There is big profit for builders/developers in these developments. Politicians also get perks such as campaign funds from these businesses that build build build.Politically democrats have always done better with voter registration in high density housing developments over republicans. Usually by a 3-1 margin or greater. The citizens in the area are then left with rising taxes and crowded roads and schools. The size of government increases while our income earnings decrease. It's probably time to move but where ?

Liberals on the upper east side of NYC destroyed beautiful neighborhoods in the Bronx, Brooklyn and Queens when I was growing up by creating "low income housing."

It's really a way for them to keep their rich kids safe at the middle class' expense.

I was born in Rockaway Beach. I'd need a SWAT Team to go visit there today.
