Sorry Pal, but the rule of law has said you are wrong. The generally accepted international law was followed, disputes settles, and claims made on that ownership that had been allowed to lapse. In many cases the occupants of the land received fair compensation at the time of the transfer. So called Native Americans (all of whom living today are neither natives or savages, but just people with a few ancestors claiming to be "natives.") need to get over it. What happened 500 years ago is facinating in history class, but you lose a claim to land in just five years. Had you paid your taxes, and prevented others from adverse use of land, you might have a claim to quiet title, but as it stands you are out, and the currently listed owner is in.

Criminal aliens (and that includes those who "just didn't have money" for the fees) need to be counted so representation is equal with respect to population. The House must represent all people without regard to their permission to be in the USA.

Next year in California gerrymandering will stop. A citizen commission without ties to existing politicians will redraw district lines along geographic and population interaction. The protection Democrats have built into California voting districts will come crashing to an end. The district lines drawn using voter registration information will stop. All citizens of Whittier will vote together and La Raza will be sent packing. If a Spanish surnamed person is elected, it will be because they are qualified and want to represent the people of Whittier, not their own reconquista adjenda.

A FBI agant should be assigned to each small group of census takers. Anyone who slams the door or refuses to be counted should be arrested and charged with a crime leading to deportation if they are crimnal aliens.

As much as I favor the deportation of criminal aliens, the fact is that it is not the illegal immigrants who are destroying Uptown Whittier. It is the gangs and a City Council majority who sold out to the highest bidders who just happens to be Matrix Oil and Seventh & Hope Pot dealership. It is American citizens who are responsible for the plight of Uptown. Refusing to count immigrants is not going to fix the problems in Uptown.

Note to those mentioning Native Americans: Being Mexican does not automatically make you a Native American anymore than being a White or Black American does. To me Native American in the US context does not include the Aztec or Maya. For purposes of federal Indian benefits and rights it only includes those nation’s that are actually native to the areas that currently comprise the territory of the USA. As neither the Yucatan nor Mexico City areas are part the US, their populations cannot be considered US Native Americans nor do they have any claims to US territory which were already occupied by non Aztecs and non Maya.
The claims of Aztec/Maya to any lands are limited only to the land their ancestors actually occupied and none of that was in the territory that composes the continental US.
I know that a lot of California Native Americans are angry with the Aztecs because the Aztecs desecrated the Californian’s sacred burial grounds via urination, littering and the expulsion of biological solid waste in to (for example) Chumash burial pits. Several California chief’s have told me that those claiming Aztec descent are not welcome on land owned by California Native Americans for this very reason.

Luis, it’s related because the claim being made is that having all these people counted will cause new money to magically appear in the federal budget.
Other states, such as New York and Texas contribute just as much to that budget as we do. Yet we are already getting about the vast majority of the federal funds that go to the states for such things as education and Medicaid.
The problem with counting illegal immigrants is inherently a political one and can only be solved politically. It’s great for us because we get extra Representatives but it also robs other states of their right to fair political representation.
What they need to do is count them for budgetary purposes but exclude them for purposes of apportioning Congressional delegates. The issue would have been different if the original 13th amendment on Congressional apportionment had passed but then, our Congress would have way to many members.

Well of course they want to get the best number they can. Its cause when California has to redraw its political districts they want to give as much power to the Democrats as they ca (Not that I am a big fan of most Republicans).

We will see how that works with the new commissions which all politicians and their friends are banned from serving on. I have hopes but I also have reservations. This could save us or it could destroy us.
