My BF and I heard a huge commotion about that time even though we live on Downey, not Paramount. I had to drive by the scene on my way to work, 5 hours later and everything was still closed off. It chilled me to the bone to drive by that twisted motorcycle, I didn't know what had happened until I got to work but knew that no good would come of it.

How horrible, may the victim RIP and the criminal that committed this atrocity burn in hell...

This story serves to underscore the concept of a book that I have been writing of late, which defines an idea about situations like this one where "public executions" are taking place everyday which are never brought to the steps of Justice in America.

The title of my book is named "The Killing Hours" which purports to describe when and where such deeds normally take place and are accepted practices by our law enforement officials who do nothing in preventing them to reoccur each passing hour of each and every passing day!

This "drunken driver" is nothing less than an outright criminal who kills innocent people, at will. Sure, we can take them to trial, put them in jail or any number of other acts as well but we cannot bring their "victim's" back to life.

I passed by the scene of the accident and I felt the sheer evil that was present. I will pray 4 the victims family as well as the suspect. The bike looked totally screwed and there was glass and parts and blood everywhere. It was really sad.

Is the bike in decent condition? It shouldn't be too hard to clean it up.

My friend and I were at the Tacos Mexico off florence next to the guardsmans cocktail lounge where the suv pulled out of. We saw him take off, then heard screeching of tires, i believe we heard the crash next, and more screeching of tires. The cops were on that guys ass no later then 10 seconds after the crash.

My boyfriend left my house on his motorcycle at 5 am this morning and I live on Irwingrove one block south of this intersection where the accident happen. I heard helocopters right after and turned on the news. Heard of a fatal hit and run on motorcycle and i flipped out. I starting crying because I thought it was him. As I watched the news report i learned the accident happened at 2 am. I worry about my boyfriend everytime he gets on his motorcycle. He says he is a good driver but it means nothing when a drunk runs into you and you cant control that. I pray for the victim and his family. RIP terrible story to hear.

omg!! i was pulling up to tacos el gavillan when the guy was laying in the street. there was one cop on scene...the guy was just laying there his bike was in pieces...i didnt see the suspects truck. after ordering food the ambulance got there. it looked like a movie :( the paramedics were doing CPR i saw the guys arm fall from the stretcher and the ambulance guy put it back on the stretcher after that i had to turn away it was sad and scary. i told my friend Que Dios lo guarde y ojala no sea nada grave. i kept thinking about it today and looked it up (i wanted to hear good news about the guy)My heart and prayers go out to his family and friends!!! it turns out my friend from Facebook knew and was close to this guy and told me he left behind a child. im really sadden from this. he was really young!

Why does it always seem that the drunk drivers never die in these stories!!! It's always the innocent that die!! It's just not fair!! Where is the justice???

My husband was nearly killed on his motorcycle on June 21. He just now got out of the hospital (3 months and 10 days later). He is permanently disabled now. My husband was an experience rider of 35 years and didn't even drive (or have a car license), only a motorcycle license. My point being, motorcycles are not safe, your odds are against you for being permanently disabled or worse, killed. Tell your boyfriend it's not worth it.

My prayers and sympathy to the family of the victim. I am so sorry for your loss.

Sad that someone died today. I saw the aftermath. I saw them taking away a pickup truck from the scene not a suv. sorry you had to see that but it sounds like it was not a car that left from tacos mex, and the police said the truck was going at a high rate of speed. can you get going that fast from tacos mex to paramount? maybe . Has anyone heard if the kid on the bike was drinking too? Hope not may he rest in peace!

Heres how to stop the killing of innocent citizens. A computer chip in there brain and when they start there vehicle they get sapped in the head again and again till they give up ! Come on just a thought but that would work. It comes down to, hear it comes that word EXTREM !!!!!! No more DUI'S just alot of people with sapped brains !

I really can't recall if it was an suv or pick up, and I really didn't notice the color of the truck. But I know that roughly 30 seconds after a truck left eastward from the Guardsman, I heard the screeching of tires, then the crash.

Stayathomemom I like your idea! It sounds futuristic and who knows, maybe one day some type of device would exist to prevent these senseless tragedies. An easier solution would be put devices on ALL vehicles, not in a person's brain, and when the intoxicated person gets in the vehicle, they will not be able to start it. Those devices exist now, but only for DUI offenders. The new law was passed this past July 1st.
