2 killed, 1 held in Vernon lumberyard shooting

Authorities say two men have been shot to death at a Southern California lumber company and a third man is under arrest.

do you know the names of the others who were shot ? how do you know that alan was killed if its not in the papers ? you were right when you said he was a good man. all the guys down there were great guys to do business with and good guys in general.

One of the staff members was Jaime Sanchez of Bell Gardens. Jaime was 31 years of age and graduated from Bell Gardens in the year of 1996. His family was notified and he has no wife or kids, just a mother, and two sister.

Jaime Sanchez was my cousin. I remember him and his sister very well and fondly. Jaime has a father who is my uncle and a great man. Tio Manuel was always there for his kids and loved them very much. Its gonna tear me apart to see him this weekend when he arrives from Mexico due to this tragedy. Please pray for him too. Lets not forget the father who was always there for his children throughout the thick and thin of life....

Yes they are. This was a great family owned business and it's tragic that some deranged employee did this. I'm guessing that Mike will take over the business now. My sympathies to him and his entire family. I didn't know who the other victim was but I know now that his name was Jaime Sanchez (my sympathies to his family as well).

was jaime the big brown guy shaved head that worked in the lumber area ? always kidding around type guy ?

I do not know what Jaime did in the lumber area, however I was told by a close friend of him that Jaime had been gunned down @ his place of employement."Kidding around" does sounds like him. He was light skinned, and had a loud laugh.

Does anyone know anything about the gunman?

Jaime, Also known as "Chimino" was a great person. It brought tears to me when his lil siter broke the news to me. I still cant believe this has happend to him...

Per Fox 11, Charles Bohnhoff was killed. Saul Moreno was the gunman.

Charlie was not killed. His son Alan was the victim. I spoke with an employee of Bohnhoff Lumber this morning.

Daily News Reported Charles Bohnhoff 55 was killed.

I grew up with Alan and he would be around 55 Charles is his father and would be much older, maybe in his seveties

A search on the net provides a name of Charles Alan Bonhoff. I only knew him as Alan. His folks were Charles and Mary.

This came as a huge shock to me when I read about it this morning. I've been a customer of this business for close to twenty years, and knew the crew there well. As I read the sketchy article in the paper all I could think was of the guys in the office at their desks, Walt, then Charlie with his cat in the drawer, Alan next to him. My deepest sympathys go out to the Bonhoff and Sanchez families, as well as the entire crew down there.

Alan was an unbelievable man. Full of life and looking forward to the future. Next year Bohnhoff lumber is going to celebrate 100yrs in bus. and it's hard to believe he won't be there. They did nothing but try to help Saul, for the past 1yr+ Saul was extremely unreliable but due to Charlie's and Alan's good nature they kept giving him 2nd and 3rd chances and believed he would be able to turn his life around, this is an unbelievable tragedy

alan was a great guy. he used to give me a bad time for being a yankee fan. ill miss that the next time im there. it just wont be the same.

My parents were very good friends of Alan's and my husband went to school with his daughter Christa. This was a senseless crime that has destroyed three families and devastated many others. We must take comfort in that Alan is in that hands of the Lord and though he is gone from our sights he will be forever in our hearts.

The gunmans name is Saul Moreno, 51. He was an employee at the Lumber Yard and he killed Charles Bohnhoff and Jaime Sanchez. This is a horrible thing and my prayers go out to the families of these 2 men.

Actually Jaime Sanchez was my uncle, married to my aunt, Vanessa Gomez, they got married about 3 years ago!! yeah, and he really was a great person! I will never forget the way he used to talk!! GREAT MAN!!
