Wow!! Funny how the new Police Chief was hired and on the job for two days and then, all of a sudden, his name is mud with the Council??? What the heck??? Oh, wait, they must have forgotten everything Narrmore told them about him... Heck, us lil folks checked the guy out and knew the background... Council didn't??? I doubt it. No bones that Randy shared that the guy had worked with him in Huntington Park.... P.D. Association knew it... had no problem... Narramore tried, truly believe he tried,... the last Council tied Torres' hands to a point... this one acted like they were different, but alas, they are doing the same. Sad state of affairs...

Compared to our current mayor, bill molinari, our prior mayor, rosie vasquez was a genius,
Even I didnt think molinari could screw up this bad.
molinaris ship is sinking and everyone is trying to abandon ship. I heard even molinaris closest allie, chris robles, has had enough of bill and was seen talking to vasquez at the meeting and gave her some valuable information.

Narramore was always a bad egg ready to crack.

Molinari was running Montebello like a Banana Republic with Hank Attina as the corporate boss, Narramore as the Generalisimo, and Glassman as the head of secret police.

Finally the 4 newbies got it right and took action.

It was common knowledge that Rulon was going to be the police chief since January 2010. Molinari met Rulon way back in Jan, and the whole selection process was a set up. How does a guy with pending lawsuits against him and his own lawsuit against his former city ever become the top pick? Uh, with a little help from his friends.

So 4 council members who were excluded from the process, like they have been in everything, finally listened to the public and said NO.

Narramore didn't like being told what to do by our elected officials (except Molinari it seems), and dared them to fire him.

Narramore showed his true colors by storming out of the meeting in sight of everyone. He deserved an academy award for his performance and Molinari for director.

So Narramore resigned, but tried to come back to work (I guess Molinari begged him to return). Too bad they told him to pack up and leave.

Good riddance I say. We don't need a prima-dona or dictator in Montebello. We need real leadership and that's not Narramore or Molinari.

Keep up the good work Perez, Cortez, Barajas and Gomez. We are watching.

Did you see the performance of Larry Salazar last night? He's got to be the dumbest guy ever. For years he would bash Molinari and spoke out against special interests and back room deals.

But I guess it's easy for Larry to sell out his ideals when Molinari endorses him, raises campaign money from Attina for him, and lends him campaign workers and an office.

Larry needs to pack it in. He looks like a fool defending Rulon who is no different than Weast. Larry spoke against Weast, but supports Rulon? What a difference a little Molinari support makes.

Larry, you've ran and lost over 6 times including the recall when Molinari supported you. Get a clue. WE DON'T WANT LARRY THE LOSER. We don't want hypocrites in elected office.

Dear Lord dude, get a grip... no body stormed out of the meeting, and the sacred 4 did not make a comment in public. Don't make it sound like there was a huge incident. Narramore came back the next morning to tell department heads that his time was over... Let's get real here, there is alot to be done and the first thing is to hire a City Administrator. Let that person come in and rebuild the team. Sad that you feel Narrmore was such a "bad apple", he was the only one to step up to plate on several issues. He has kept things going for quite a while now. And he, like Richard Torres, will now become the brunt excuse of all the problems in many peoples minds. Untrue, and not fair but alas it's the way things roll. Unfortunately, everyone wants to place blame but no one wants to help come up with answers. I guess maybe some unqualified newbies will get the chance to reap the benefits of a few months pay from the city and accomplish nothing... sad state of affairs.

I sure hope so. I would gladly sign that petition.

Molinari finally gets his wish to run the city, and in a few months of his failed leadership, we get:

Federal investigations,
District Attorney investigations (into his own son the Montebello Police Officer),
fraud,
cover ups,
5 senior positions empty,
employees laid off,
Fire Stations closed,
trips to Vegas at tax payer expense
Millions of tax dollars disappearing without paperwork
controversial Police Chief appointment
interim city administrator going crazy at council meetings
payoffs
Pay to Play
intimidation and threats

When will we realize that Molinari is and was just as bad as Art Payan, Kathy Salazar, Ed Vasquez, Rosie Vasquez, and Robert Urteaga.

Molinari MUST GO for the sake of our city.

I was there Clean Sweep and saw Narramore make a big production of grabbing his coat and files off of the table, right in front of everyone.

Looked like he stormed out to me.

Maybe you "dude" weren't there and only heard about it from Molinari.

The room was packed and there are plenty of people who saw what I saw.

Take your marbles and go play in some other unfortunate city.

Nobody tied Torres' hands because Torres would never share information with any council member and nobody on the council knew what he was doing. He totally disregarded most of the council decisions if he didn't want what they wanted. A couple, Cortez and Perez, do seem different, Molinari is the one common thread in all Montebello's problems over the years.

First, get a city administrator who has no ties to council members, especially Molinari, no ties to Attina, Glasman, Robles, Urteaga and his buddies etc. Surely that can't be impossible.
Second, same with a new police chief, a person with no ties to the above and one who wasn't sacked previously, isn't suing and has a good record.
Third, hire an economic development director who has no ties to any of the above and has a good record and really knows redevelopment.
Fourth, get a Chamber of Commerce that really represents business and the cities interests and is active. Not this moribund, do nothing waste of time.
Fifth, recall Bill Molinari

"First, get a city administrator who has no ties to council members, especially Molinari, no ties to Attina, Glasman, Robles, Urteaga and his buddies etc. Surely that can't be impossible"

More important is Athens Services and Mike Lewis
also but much less important the Chamber and Cook Hill- agree the chamber needs to broaden its interests
I do not think the people are up for another recall when Bill can be outvoted 4-1
This is his last term as Mayor which will be over in November- before a recall could be done.
Athens is the only source of funds to recall bill and that's a faustian bargain.
A recall is not asure thing either given the amount spent against bill in the retire the liar campaign which backfired big time
(as does most of the anti- bill hype on these blogs)

OK, I forgot to add Athens and Mike Lewis. Molinari should should go as soon as possible. And Gomez and Barajas should be unseated at their next election. I have some faith in Cortez and Perez but cannot understand how they haven't discovered what a repugnant character Robles is.

Are you still on your Athens high horse? Get a grip! Athens has been proving excellent services to our residents for almost 30 years!!! The city will never rescind their contract without a damn good reason. Jesus, did Athens hurt you as a child or something? I have been happy with my services from Athens for many years and I see no reason to change it. Especially from someone who doesnt even live in our city.!
Also, Mike Lewis hasnt been around for months, why are you still bringing up his name.
Lastly, the ONLY reason why Bill won was because his campaign and supporters committed voter fraud! Dont you read the papers? LOL!
If I ever see a Recall petition for Molinari , I will be the first in line to sign it!!!

I thought of applying for he city administrator position, but I thought my two old felony drug convictions and the little federal charge I picked up some years back might get in the way... now I'm not so sure its such a bad idea! Sounds like they'll take anyone right about now.
