Farewell Noble, Honorable, Cheif.
You are the last true American Police Cheif in
in the city of the Angels,(now vermin depots city). Dispite the looney, loser leftist comments,
you represented true christendom American values, superior leadership, and guts. Future proactive police officers will study your successful and learn from you. RIP my friend.

A tragic figure in the spotty history of LAPD. This person set us back decades in law enforcement and community evolution. The blowback from his ill conceived heavy handed "tactics" are still with us today. An ignorant but devious fascist promoted far beyond his abilities - and not a decent American at all. Check the record.

Thankfully, the LAPD is now staffed with high quality public servants and law enforcers at every level. There is very little left of the Gates poison left in the system.

People, including the black community, didn't like Gates due to his heavy hand. Now they get what they asked for and they also live in more crime and gang violence that ever. They just aren't smart enough to understand where it would go when they complained about Gates. More young blacks now die at the hands of other young blacks than ever. Why, L.A. didn't want any contril so they are now out of control and as it gets worse more business will leave L.A. and as they leave the money goes with them. And more young blacks will continue to sie at greater numbers. All because they wanted to be free to do it.

Hey, give me your number Warren and I will call you next time someone breaks into my house!! The man spends a lifetime protecting all of you liberal nuts and all you can do is graciously criticize his death. Thank you Mr. Gates for all you did for this ungrateful city.

RIP to a decent man. I did not like some of his decisions, but its easy to complain when you're not in the driver's seat. I'll pray for him just as I would like someone to pray for my lousy ass.

Chief Gates was a good man. He brought programs and ideas to the L.A.P.D. that have been adopted around the country as far as law enforcement is concerned. He was respected by those who worked for him and feared by the street thugs. People can say what they want about him now that he is gone, but his legacy will live on , rest in peace Chief Gates.

Gates said, "Casual drug users? Why, they should be "taken out and shot," Gates once said. And what about the fact that his officers had a bad habit of choking black suspects to death with their batons? Well, you see, Gates once remarked, this wasn't the fault of his officers because the "blacks" don't have the same kind of neck as "normal" people."

I'm glad he is gone.

Chief Gates, was a good man. He loved his officers and they loved him. He did not allow politics to influence his decisions. While now you have Chiefs, who are more concerned with their post police careers as politicians. Chief Gates did what was best for the organization as a whole. Yes, he did make some odd comments from time to time, but so do all leaders in the public eye. Even the current President says some horrible thingsĀ…

Oh yeah Gates was a good man he just didn't care much for human rights and was known to look the other way allowing men that hadn't been charged with a crime to be beaten again and again so this guy is a pussy! He needs to go far away to some old folks home.

You clearly do not follow current events. Based on Mr. Gates current status it would be rather difficult for him to "go far away."

Don't be so harsh . You have to admit that the antics of officers driving the Gate's battering ram into peoples' living rooms made great TV.
