My cat was torn to shreds by the coyotes not just eaten ripped apart from limb to limb I to am well shoot saddened because that's just what they did to one cat the others were in my front and back yard. They scared my dog so bad it would rather swim in my pool then get it by one of them things and turning the back yard light on just don't cut it any more they are getting use to human interaction and getting closer.
Hey Lakewood this is about coyote sightings in the city of Carson. Go find your own local page to yap on.

To both questions
You can find a plethora of coyote dens at Los Coyotes Diagonal as well as countless negro dens at Los Negros Diagonal, otherwise known as MKL Blvd.

My uncles cat was cut in half last week and left on the front yard. Intestines separated from body completely licked clean. Freaky. Been Carson 30 years and only seen one going behind Carson mall. Real scruffy

Don't be fooled! coyote's are smarter than you know I've had many run ins with them. The run in a pack. When you see 1 it's the scout. They can jump 10 foot fences, can take down a large dog as a pack and usually howell only after they have made a kill to alert the pack. A good defense is to empty and dry out a coke can put 15 pennies inside and seal the can back up. Shake it vigorously when any animal approaches. It confuses and scares them.

Our cat was last seen Thursday morning before dawn. Found what looks like the remains of a stomach on my neighbors lawn and cat hair that matches our cat but nothing else. No blood no other remains. Live off off the corner of Dunrobin and Eberle in the city of Lakewood...

Maybe you should sue the coyotes and have them prosecuted.

I'm more than a little tired of hearing that, "it's their habit that we are infringing upon".
That hasn't been true for AT LEAST 3/4 of a century.
It USED to be their habit. It belongs to us, our children and our pets now. That ship sailed a long, long time ago.
A wild animal that threatens me, my kids or my pet is guilty of committing a capital offense. I am unsympathetic to its plight after that.

Our cat was attacked and killed by a coyote like a month ago in the Lakewood Long Beach area, near Del Amo. We heard the racket outside at about 4am, went outside, and scared the coyote off, but it was too late. It was horrifying seeing the cat like that. We've been keeping our dogs indoors at night now. I figure the coyotes are cruising the San Gabriel river and venturing into the neighborhoods near it at night.

PS - I noticed someone put up a missing cat sign in the neighborhood...wouldnt be surprised if coyotes got it.

Well you should teach the cats self-defense. I have a 3rd degree black belt in Feline Fu.

I have sat here and read all the comments regarding the coyotes. I walk my small dogs at the SG riverbed and have only seen them down there. They have avoided me the times I have seen them. It is very sad for so many to have lost pets, family members, but I can't help but thinking PLEASE keep your pets inside. Why are you leaving your cats out at 2:30, 4:00 and 6:00 in the morning. Protect them, don't leave them outside then wonder why. I live in downtown Lakewood and they are not taking my dogs without a fight. Be Safe.

I have seen them cruising the cement drainage ditches running off of the San Gabriel river in the Lakewood and Long Beach area several times. They aren't just out late at night or early morning. I saw one face to face with my dog at the gate at about 4 in the afternoon and chased it off. Oh, and I also saw one jump over a 6 foot fence EASILY, which was scary considering that is about the size of most fences in this neighborhood.
