DEBATE: Infrastructure Employment

America can no longer afford to fix roads and bridges. That is why there are so few projects being approved. Drive by any construction site--road/bridge--and count the number of "workers" actually working. The ratio, as I see it everyday, is about 2 working and 5 or 6 standing around accomplishing nothing. At this rate projects cost too much and take too long.
That is not the way it was back in the 20's and 30's when
immigrant workers built america's roads and bridges. They were not paid much back then and were proud to be feeding their family without handouts.
Today, we need the work ethic and pride being displayed by many of our undocumented immigrant workers. We need to get the lazy, spoiled American worker to work and stop standing around looking for overtime.
Let's rebuild America by putting people to work who actually work when they are paid. Honk your horn every time you drive by a road crew doing nothing but backing up traffic. Then, we will be able to afford to rebuild our roads and bridges.
