50 dogs removed from East Northport home

F*CKING ADOPT PEOPLE! I have two purebreds I ADOPTED. Your feeding into these disgusting, careless animal abusers every time you buy one of their puppy mill puppies.

She should get more then a year and $1000 fine.

I just came home to see the news. I don't know how many times Irene came to the rescue when my dog was sick. Although she's not a real vet, she is an animal healer of some sort and has lots of know how when it comes to dogs. We were struggling financially and she told me how to care for Butch for free using household remedies. One time Butch got into a box of rat poison, I was hysterical, but Irene help save Butch's life for free for us. Our children love Irene too. Thanks.

How come the SPCA, town of Brookhaven and local animal shelters from Riverhead to huntington didn't take in the beautiful cat left by the previous owner at the house I bought a few months ago? Seriously - how do they pick and choose?(understand there were 50 dogs at this home but cmon). If today's society allows us to treat pets basically the same as children by building them parks on behalf of tax payers money without fixing the deteriorating and drugged out parks left for dead then should we treat those who abandon animals like we treat those who abandon their children? Interested in hearing your thoughts on this one.

Normal people don't keep 50 animals in their home. It is a hazard....so whatever her deal is, its wrong. I can't imagine what the smell and noise were like . She's lucky she wasn't my neighbor I would have reported her EVERYDAY to whoever would listen.

why on earth would someone would keep 50 dogs in there house do they relized what cost it is to keep them fed them , vets and so on I would just keep two dogs the most as an animal lover I own a dog and two cats and would like to know if they have a toy fox terrier I would mine another dog but 50 dogs forget it

You said it NORMAL people do not keep 79( the last number I heard) dogs in thier houses. I have reported her many times but they gave her warning. she gave dogs to friends for that time that she knew they were coming so it didn't look as bad as it was. that is not NORMAL. Yes she has a good heart and she likes to help other people that is well and good but she didn't take care of the animals she had.

Those places are built for alot of dogs. Not a residential house. You can not keep up with cleaning up after 50+ dogs. It is a health hazzard and discusting. How can you give each dog the LOVE it deserves? If you really loved Irene why didn't you see this was happening? Did you think it was NORMAL to have that many dogs??

You're a hater, plain and simple and your kids are horrible little monsters.

LOL Maags you really have the wrong person since I don't have kids! I care about the dogs not Irene you should do the same thing. Irene can take care of herself she has for years,the dogs on the other hand can not take care of themselves. They were lucky to get fed a few nuggets each day. the only ones she "cared" about were the ones that were breeding because she can make money from them.
