What a waste of tax payers money. Doesn't the town have more important matters to discuss?

Of all the myriad problems facing Long Island, why are we wasting any time on this one?
Is there anything else you'd like to ban?
When I think about the things you could do and enjoy legally at one time on Long Island, it makes me want to retch!!!!
What else are you going to allow them to take away from your children???
--- Can't hang out on the beach. --- Can't camp overnight or have a campfire. --- Can't have a cold beer. --- Can't smoke. --- Can't get high. --- Can't buy magic markers --- Can't have spray paint --- Can't have sex?
Now they can't even have SIlly String!!! Are you kidding!!!! What next???
Seems to me that when people could do all of these things without government interference, they didn't walk into school and blow away 30 classmates.
Funny that their parents and grandparents could do all of these things without interference, but not anymore!
It makes me sick to see the way the government is permitted to treat our citizens as if they are too stupid to make their own decisions.
You pass this stupid law and I'll be at every parade with a silly string bazoka blanketing EVERY fire truck that I see.
What ever happened to... government for the people, by the people. Wow what a radical concept.
It makes my sick how you people are so willing to trade away our liberties and simple pleasures in life; for your comfort. Time to level Long Island and start over. The whole place is one big failed experiment.
Let's start by leveling Cold Spring Harbor, Planview, Dix Hills, Commack and the Hamptons. We can work our way out from there.

I'm in complete agreement with the thought that are kids are being denied luxuries that we were provided. Every year the ax gets dropped on more and more extra curricular activities. If the last budget didn't pass (and it was close), they were doing away with the music program!! The middle school already has no sports. Halloween is gone, our kids are prohibited from dressing up. There is no food allowed in the classrooms, which means no holiday or birthday parties. The high school now has a formal instead of prom, and the parents must drop off and pick up their kids, signatures required. It is such a shame. These kids are going to be little lems that grow up with the wrong idea about happiness. The world was my oyster, that's what I was always told. We are denying our children the free spirits that they are so beautifully known for.

If any of your suggestions were followed we would be going backwards and real estate values would drop. As a member of the real estate community it is very importent to keep values up so that your investment grows. Some call us parasites or blood sucking corpses but our role is vital to keep the right kind of people in your community. Furthermore, the ridiculously high commissions I earn for sitting shiva in your home means income for beauty parlors, resturants, and days spas in your community. Without real estate agents jamming the doors of these establishments there would be fewer of them and the strip malls my husband owns would be vacant. That's why the Long Island Board of Real Estate Agents has issued a white paper in regard to banning Silly String from getting into the hands of children and possibly terrorists for use in impeding our first responders. We must take a stand against the kind of anarchy that would hurt real estate values.

You and everyone like you, need to be removed from the gene pool before you can breed further. You're the reason there is so much unecessary pain in the world. ..........

Of course it's all about money. This is Long Island. Not Kansas. If you want to be a loser; and dress like a shlamiel; eat at burger king; drive a lame car; live in a Cape Cod; then go ahead, I won't stop you. Go move to Mastic or Lindenhurst. I don't do any listings there. Shmuck!

You are clearly to stupid to understand how ignorant you really are. You are yet another lemming being fattened for the slaugther. ..........

"Huntington fire officials complained to the board that the mushy, colorful substance causes damage to the paint of fire apparatus and its weatherstripping, and because the use of Silly String "has become common practice during holiday and commemorative parades" in town"
So does Coca-Cola, should that be banned as well?

What kind of a communist shoots silly string or coca cola on a piece of publicly owned fire apperatus? This country is going to hell in a handbaskets if we don't stop this sort of thing as well as gay marriage.
