The REAL reason why Papa John's will raise its prices, and it has NOTHING to do with healthcare costs:
"On November 9, 2012, United States District Court Judge John C. Coughenour certified a nationwide class action case against Papa John's International, Inc. with potential damages over $250 million. The lawsuit is brought on behalf of Papa John's customers across the United States who were sent unwanted text messages that advertised Papa John's pizza. The ruling paves the way for what could be one of the largest damages awards ever recovered under the federal Telephone Consumer Protection Act. The class action lawsuit contends that 500,000 illegal text messages were sent to Papa John's customers across the country. Papa John's customers could be awarded $500 or more in statutory damages for each text message." - Reuters
See FOX spins this around to put the blame on Obama..........typical right wing news channel .........more to come no doubt...LMAO!thinking

Papa Schnatter himself, who owns 6,094,409 shares, or nearly one fourth, of Papa John’s, according to the company’s most recent annual report. 1,268,052 of those shares are held in a family limited partnership and 84,000 shares held in a 501(c)(3). The rest are directly owned. At the $49.44 share price, subtracting those held in a charitable trust, the remaining 6,010,409 shares are worth roughly $297 million. Schnatter’s compensation packages for years 2009-11 were $2,319,643,$2,614,516, and $2,745,219 respectively, also according to the annual report. Papa John’s International has not paid a dividend since 2005.
Papa Schnatter himself, who owns 6,010,409 shares x $48.67 =$292,526,606.00 held in stock down from $297M but the company can afford health care for its employees COME ON MAN

Typical Tea-Publican. Not only will he pass the increased healthcare costs onto his customers, he will cut the hours of all his employees so that he does not have to provide them with healthcare.
Only when he begins losing business because he is such a Scrooge with Papa John learn the lessons of compassion and charity.

It will would only cost the company 5-8 million annually to treat his employees like people according to him. The company makes 1.22 billion dollars in revenue yearly. Instead of raising the cost of pizza by 20 cents or cutting the ceo's salary he's going to take it out on his employees and blame the President. Corporate greed at it's finest. This is exactly why we couldn't afford to have Romney in the white house. Don't buy papa john's and let's see how much revenue he can really lose.

A host of Facebook groups with the same idea have cropped up in the past 48 hours. Meanwhile, shares in Papa John’s International have been tumbling since last Thursday, falling from $51.70 at market close Wednesday to $49.22 on Monday, a 4.2% drop. LMAO! Obamacare and the 29-Hour Ceiling
. . .
Samuelson writes that Obamacare would (at least for its purposes) alter the definition of “full-time worker.”
Currently the Bureau of Labor Statistics defines a “full-time worker” as someone who works at least 35 hours a week.
Obamacare would lower that to 30 hours a week.
Samuelson writes,“The difference matters, because [Obamacare] requires employers with 50 or more full-time workers to provide health insurance for those workers.
At the same time, no company has to buy insurance for part-time employees, defined as those working less than 30 hours a week.”
In other words, under Obamacare, get ready for the prominence of the 29-hour work week — with corresponding pay.

Small business owners have known since ObamaCare’s passage that the law’s employer mandate requires any business with 50 or more full-time employees to provide at least the minimum level of government-defined health insurance coverage to those employees.
. .
However, a little-known section of ObamaCare defines
“full-time”
work as averaging only 30 hours per week,
rather than 40 hours.
Employers who had planned to use more part-time workers to avoid higher costs associated with the mandate will need to rethink this strategy if the law is not repealed.
