I had no idea that Mount Union was the equivalent of the Bronx. I love how everyone exaggerates to get attention. I'm younger than all of you, I've lived in MU my whole life and I know how it really is. You can walk the streets of MU and not get yourself into any trouble, let alone being carjacked! I live right up the road from the cemetary and there is never anyone there that is doing anything other than paying their respects. There are drugs, yes, but there is a very low violence rate AND drug rate, believe it or not. The largest rating is burglaries, and that's not even large. People exaggerate when they have no personal experiences to have anything to exaggerate about.
Oh, and there is no grand poverty here. The economy is bad all around right now and a lot of people are finding jobs elsewhere, some even better than the ones they had before.
MU is actually a nice place to live, even though I do want to get out of here just so I can see a little of the world.
Go to NY or Brooklyn or anywhere else for that matter and see how it stacks up to MU.
By the by, Mount Union is actually a lot better now than it was 40 years ago, seeing as how it USED to be called "Little Chicago."
Before you post your opinion online for hundreds or thousands of people to see, be accurate, don't make a fool of yourself and use a word check, proper grammar and a dictionary.

You hit the nail on the head, those that call Mount Union bad have never been in a town that was "BAD". I lived in Cleveland and had to work in what one would really call bad areas. I grew up in New Kensington PA which makes MU look like a crime free zone. Every community in the country has drugs and crime, rich, middle-class or poor it doesn't matter. Personally I think some people in their own mind think there is a lot of crime because more African Americans live here now, but that's my opinion.

i grew up in that ole town. teachers like mr. taliff, archatoly mugs mason mr. sax, toad leonard and many more. it was great. best town in the world. police like kurtice everheart cresswell and goen to barretts to see skip. yep those were the days. and hangen with mr roddy. it was great. now society has changed and along with it goes the towns. towns arnt met to last forever. they change with the seasons. we all get old and some day reflect on what was. but one thing i do know is you can tell a mount unionite anywhere in the world. you stick out and glow. that school is what made us what we are today. those ole teachers. we have our memories. if you get a chance teach your kids how to play booty. at the tot lot!
