As a concerned citizen, I feel that this is not a safe place for inexperienced people to learn to sail. There is the launch dock for power boats, etc., the area that they would have to be pulled out into the lake far enough to get enough wind to sail. In the neighborhood of 1/2 to 3/4 mile. There are other areas to the north of this sight that would be much more condusive for inexperienced sailers. These areas are on the east side of I-77 north of Cornelius. Please for the safety of the people do not approve this venture.
