The guy from Penn State already gave them things to do to fix the problem.
1. Cut the weeds growing in and around your neighborhood.
2. Clean up wet wood and other debris from around the area.
Yet they continue to bother Gingrich and the township about it?!? Come on, clean up your neighborhood and stop expecting other people and the government to solve all your problems.

I have friends that live in this community and I have to say that it is a very clean neighborhood, not like the previous commenter inferred. The neighborhood is under construction and I have NEVER seen piles of wood anywhere. There is an open field behind the development but does not have a weed problem. So before you accuse people of having a dirty neighborhood you should get the facts. I don't think the person in the article was asking anyone to solve their problems. I got the impression that she was concerned that the same thing would happen again next year and just wanted to find the source. I'm guessing you don't have a fly problem in your neighborhood. If you did, you would probably be the first person to join the "bunch of whiners".

Oh, OK. The guy from Penn State saying he saw the weeds, the wood and other debris around - he must be lying?!
These townhouses all have garages - if their daughter is so important, why not park inside?? OHHH...RIGHT the garage is probably packed with junk and garbage. "Affordable" housing developments bring nothing but grief.

York-"A bunch of Whiners" before you judge the homeowners of Campbelltown, look at your own city of York..Crimes, Shootings, Drugs etc. York is always in the news for some kind of illegal activity..If you would have done your research, you would know this area of Campbelltown where the "Affordable Housing Development" you so implied as being nothing but grief are upscale condos with selling prices around $180,000.00 per condo! This is a far cry from the getto homes of York. This neighborhood and the surrounding developments are upscale with the condos in the $180 thousand range and the single dwelling homes in the $200-$300 thousand range!! As for the weeds, the perimeter of these properties are surrounded by fields, airport runway and construction of a new bypass road. These homes are very well kept and if a weed problem exists, which I have not noticed, then it would either be on township, county or state land or a farmers field and not on the homeowners. I live in Campbelltown, not in this development; and the flies have been horrific this year! My yard is covered with thousands of flies and our doors are covered with flies! As for your remark on using the garage, all doors and windows need to be closed at all times otherwise your home is filled with the disgusting flies. Just to get in your car, you are inviting dozen of flies for a ride in your vehicle...Until you live in our world and experience the flies, keep your ignorant comments to yourself!

Wow...welcome to the internet. You should try keeping YOUR ignorant comments to YOURSELF. The city it displays for my comments "YORK, PA" is based off of my internet provider location, NOT my actual location.
And I do live outside of Campbelltown, and I do drive by these townhouses every day. You can call them condos if you want (if that makes it sound fancier) but in the end they are townhouses with yearly management fees. These are no different than Rockledge, another eyesore of a development.
