WOW! I can't imagine. The prices here in Colorado are hovering in the $1.40-$1.50 range.
Gas is cheaper in Gualala

I go to Fort Bragg almost every week and the gas there is about $.20 a gallon more than in Gualala. Isn't Gualala just as isolated as Ft. Bragg? We only have 2 gas stations, a 76 and Chevron and it is an hour or more drive to Hwy101 from here. That doesn't make sense that gas is so much more in Fort Bragg.

Moved from FB in Aug 07. We currently are paying $1.41 for regular. Always knew that the price for gas in FB was over the top.

And now our liberal state assembly intends on adding a $0.13 "Fee" on every gallon we purchase. Don't be fooled, this is a TAX. A TAX leveed by the same party who swore in their campaign not to raise taxes on the middle class, only the wealthy. We all know that the middle class uses the majority of fuel in this country going to/from their jobs.

This TAX also effects our trucking industry immensly. Once again middle and lower class Californians (that includes about 90% of us), we, the consumer, will pay the higher trucking costs in the stores and markets. Fuel TAX is targeted directly at the lower and middle classes. THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY HAS ONCE AGAIN LIED TO SPEND MORE OF YOUR MONEY. Congratulations to all who put them into office. Next up; State Sales TAX. See how this effects the already strapped Californian wallet.

gas is going back up already(not crude)it hit it's low a week ago just like any other election year our powers that be took it down for elections and the Christmas spending session now they are paying themselves for a job well done.
I'd rather pay a $3-4 in tax than a $1-2 per gallon in profit to a corporation.
O the best part BHO Sr. and not the Bush clan is to be blame for this if he never left Kenya our pres.elect would know how to fix this

You guys are nuts. You think the republicans give a hoot about us? Neither party has our interests at heart, it is all about the Oil companies and both democrats and repubs have ownership in these companies. As to the high prices that Fort Bragg residents pay it is outrageous just as the local supermarket there, I think Safeway was/is always more expensive. People on the Mendo coast get ripped off always, why, cause they got no choices

Your right about our Republican representatives. However, the conservative concept, if properly implimented, makes much more sence economically than does liberalism (history has proven this; China, Soviet Union, Marxism).

Ok so our conservative concept works, according to your post. then please explain what has happened in the last year? I have heard this bs all my life about trickle down, No it doesn't work,in fact none of these models really work. One makes everyone the same with assigned careers, jobs and salaries (but at least they get health care) the other says work hard and you will be rewarded but in reality there is only so much room at the top of the pyramid model and the rest supposedly trickles down, however greedy bastards keep the money and we get the drops leftover. They both are non-fuctioning models.
It AMAZES me that you still buy this stuff, and even in the midst of a complete breakdown of our so called free market system. Greed how to you put a cap on that one? by the way "liberalism" is not the same as "communism" if you get a dictionary read the definition.

The dictionary also shows different definations between Marxism and Communism. They're based on the same concept; redistribution of wealth and big government. What we're seing today is an adjustment in the system. Get rid of your dictionary and study your history. Our economy is constantly adjusting in an attempt to reach an equalibrium. Due to human nature (call it greed, call it mismanagement, call it what you will) will never allow this equalibrium to be achieved; and yes, this is a good thing.

Let me ask you this; do you have a mortgage? do you have credit cards? do you have outstanding loan balances? do you have debt? If yes to any of these questions, then you are showing "greed" and are spending money which is not earned.(period). Let's watch how your liberal party spends its way out of this adjustment just as Carter attempted to spend his way out of the 70's.

Amazing why I waste my time with you is beyond me.
What are you a pseudo-economics buff? you make no sense and again I am not a liberal nor do I subscribe to any of your labels. I studied more history then you can sneeze at. Your definition of Greed is a freakin joke just like your "original" ideas.
Adios, adieu and may you ride into the sunset with the wind behind your back and your greedy little "conservative" hands grasping your Russ Limbaugh book.

You should have taken a class in world economics. I took several of them.
