maybe that was the problem, salt instead of lemon pepper seasoning! I'm sure there isn't a salty chicken breast on the menu..silly!:)<quoted text>
No salt in lemon pepper silly. My six year old would know that ;-) Perhaps you ordered the wrong thing and may need to educate yourself before ordering the wrong thing and blaming the restaurant.

wallstreet grill has some of the best food in gibson county and the store very clean. The food is always fresh. I worked for them 3 years and saw one bad flaw and that was screwing the cooks out of a shit load of money on overtime. Its fun to watch the owner get mad and throw a fit cause he thinks he is better then everyone else. I called the labor board on this place with 16 other people because of overtime. Of course the person with all the money wins.

I have a great palate and am a trained cook in many ethnic foods specializing in Italian(and no not a chef). I've eaten in some of the best and food slinging establishments in the country. Not all of them have been Ruth's Chris Steakhouse-esque, some were the Joe's Diner types that made their mark.
I was excited to see a progressive restaurant like WSG when we moved here. Then I ate there. From the start I was disappointed. The server should have been working at McD's not serving tables - too young, untrained, and not a clue about the food. Of course if she had told me the chicken parmesan was a stouffers patty, I would've ordered something less difficult to prepare since completing the microwave cycle before pouring on plain bland tomato sauce was more than the cook could handle. Judging from the outside, patrons expect "a cut above" but could do just as well in the frozen section of Walmart. To their credit, they have tried to offer something different than the other cheeseburger-steak joints around, they just missed the mark. |

People....Grow up! This is a business, a profitable successful business, run for the primary benefit of the owners. In business, you save wherever you can, you bone up on labor laws and apply them to your benefit. Portion controlled cups are used to 1) control costs by eliminating waste, and 2) cut down on labor. If a PC hasn't been opened, then it's uncontaminated, and perfectly reusable. That cuts costs and helps keep prices lower. It's a business people, a very successful business. If you are jealous and have the chops then start your own, serve better food, hire and train better employees, show us what you've got!

Yes...and it's a tough business. People often reuse plastic containers. You would be surprised at the cost of pre-packed PC items and the waste involved by customers. Why do you think McDonalds makes you ask for ketchup, dressings, etc and charges for extra's. Why do you think they give you a to-go order at the window with no napkins...to save money. In the business, as much as 80% of pc packs of ketchup for instance are thrown away unopened...that's a lot of nickels! PC cups of sauces cost 15-25 cents each, and 1 ounce packs of dressing can cost 35 cents easily. Absolutely NOTHING that comes in the door is free, and everything that is consumed or used needs to be paid for in some manner, whether it is incorporated in the cost of an entree or charged for extra. |

I ate there the other night and when I asked for a to go cup they charged me 50 cents for the cup! They probably get an entire case of cups for that price! The steaks are cheaper than Jackson, but a little fatty.

WSG, yes has good food but their service is quite horrible. They have way too many servers and half of them don't even know what they're doing. I ate there and my server asked me what the meal I ate was. That's ridiculous. She didn't know anything about the food. She must have been new.

Ate there last night and had a wonderful meal. Service good, attentive manager, and pleasant atmosphere. Surprised to see this restaurant in such a small town. Enjoyed and will be back if in area again. Thanks

Have you tried the Red Door Cafe? Innovative offerings, unique food pairings, all complimented by your favorite coffee beverages. Red Door Cafe is downtown on Main St just 1/2 block east of Regions Bank. Give them a try!

Fatty steaks are the most expensive cuts of meat. The fat tenderizes the meat naturally. Lean cuts of meat that appear to be tender have been soaked in a chemical called tenderizer. If you are paying a certain price for a drink with free refills, getting a drink to go for .50 is a steal. It seems as though they should be charging full price. Not sure what that complaint was for?

Humboldt can do liquor but they won't. We all can probably guess why that is. I agree it would make for more profit the way they charge per shot out of a bottle of vodka. They do sell beer at the bars. I don't know why the Mexican restaurants refuse to serve margaritas. Probably because of the he say she say in a small town like this! I wouldn't want anybody to see me with a margarita! But I don't really like margaritas anyways...:) |

Love new pay at table set up. Hated in past that this upscale establishment still used cash registers.....now if only to progress to mixed drinks

I too would rather wait at table for waitstaff to bring me change than to stand in a long line at the cash register. That line could get extremely long, especially on the weekends. I will say a big "hats off" to the management. I travel for a living and frequent hundreds of different establishments. Am always amazed that this little town is home to one of the best places i've visited. Have always admired how a place of this size continuously gives good quality food and service. Have enjoyed watching the growth from a little diner into a major establishment. Nice to see success where so many fail in this hard industry. Bar would be another step up to consider |
