SO very disappointed in the DM Register's endorsement of Mitt Romney. Is this paper now owned by one of Donald Trump's companies? Sad, sad, sad.....

Properly at the very least he or she aren't do anything concerning identical matrimony privileges inside New jersey, given that the state great the courtroom reigned over into it all. Might continue to make an effort to effect countrywide electoral votes, thus with any luck , folks will see that and also prefer one other person.

After reading many of the posts. the real conversation should be "Why weren't the people of Iowa allowed to vote on their wishes about gay marriage"? The Supreme Court is not the peoples voice. Very unfair! Of Course the Spreme Court knows very well most of the Iowa people believe in bibibical marriage and so that is why they ruled behind closed doors and then what a surprise when it was in the paper the next day!!!!!
Outrageous!

Jesus NEVER mentioned one way or another about gays..In Romans and the old testament it does speak about the abomination of this,so if GOD,the Father was against it so was Jesus!! he did the work of his FATHER.This is a perversion, plain and simple..True Christains know this and will not support it.

Gay people all kept their virginity until they reached majority age in whatever state it was they turned gay in? Is that true?

I've read that gay people say they're different from pedos, their drives aren't the same. Going on that basis, they must be very moral. But, if they did have encounters before reaching majority age, they maybe they're not much different than heteros who didn't keep their virtue until hitting 18 or 21.

Not accusing, just wondering. Why should gay marriage over-ride with such finality traditional marriage? Heteros who marry wearing other than white aren't moral or virtuous any longer?

Rainbows used to be for children. And Irishmen, of course.

<quoted text> I agree with you. so sad to see that black minister, being put up front as a spokesman for an anti-equal rights position. I personally would prefer to see a legalization of civil unions, with equal rights for all, rather than using the term marriage for legal or governmental purposes, for anyone. It has a religious usage and connotation, and could be left to individuals, families, communities, churches. Civil union sounds more formal and businesslike, for government usage, and more appropriate for conveying rights to people. civil union for all couples, not a separate status for just gay couples, I mean. The Iowa Constitution guarantees equal rights.
I can accept the term marriage however, as long as the rights are equal, and as long as a church marriage does not control governmental reactions, in case it is some nutty church that condones marriages that are a fancy coverup for statutory rape.
