What the h@#l is wrong with those morans in Hydro? Did the dog catcher need to add some meat to his stew. For crying out loud! Killing the dog while a 73 year old man is locked up trying to rescue his beloved pet. They got NO HEART. I don't care if the officials pass the buck."Oh it wasn't my fault, it was his fault" It's all BULL. Who in their right mind would want to live there? SHAME, SHAME SHAME.
Why didn't the officals step up to the plate and help figure a way for this old man to take care of his dog. That would have been a much better news bite than killing a little dog. I hope PETA gets a hold of this and makes a BIG DEAL about it.

This is outrageous. Shelters are to protect the public AND the animals, and this shelter did neither. So the man, who obviously loved his dog, has lost his friend and is in jail with a fine. He obviously broke the law, but to euthanize his dog - who didn't do anything but provide companianship for one of our senior citizens - is WAY beyond reasonable. Whoever made these decisions (1) needs to be fired and (2) needs their head examined as to what kind of employment they undertake.

This story made the Peoria, IL. peoria Journal Star National Report section.
Those responsable for that action should be removed from any position of authority. They are a typical example of why the masses -INCLUDING ME_ do not trust people of authority!
SHAME ON THEM! Picking on an old man and his poodle. SHAME! SHAME! SHAME!

Shame on Hydro! You killed an old man's best friend! Did that make you feel big and powerful? Shame on you idiots! You failed the old man, you failed the dog and you failed as human beings!

This story has made the national news, I picked it up out of California. Putting his dog down was a heartless and cruel thing to do, and whomever is responsible deserves to be jailed for being less than human. The overwhelming response to this news story was what a horrible place Oklahoma must be to live. I'm sure that poor old man feels much the same as he grieves the loss of his friend and companion. Shame on everyone involved.

Yeah thats sad.
The spca and everyone needs to get involved here.
This dog was shot,by a ignorant person with a license to carry a gun.
They need to be arrested and sued.

This story hit my local paper and I found it to be VERY disturbing. I'm going to call the #@*&^$ police department and bitch them out....why did they kill the dog?? For breaking a *&#^$*!* leash law??? They could've waited until the man was out of jail so he could say "good-bye" COME ON!for christ sake....

You people in Oklahoma are low lifes!! After I read this article in my local paper, that is all I thought about all day!! I pray there is such a thing as karma and you hick morons suffer a horrible, long, painful death!! I hope the old man gets his revenge on you rats....worse than 9-ll!!!!!!! I wish I was there to help him destroy all of you!!!!!

Wow, I just saw a video of that hick town, Hydro!! I couldn't believe it!!! They don't even have a vet and the morons at the police department used carbon monoxide!! Like, what century are those idiots living in??!! All I can say is that I hope the vicious, loose running dogs there get your kids and grandkids and rip them into a million pieces so you can see how it feels!! That is all that would make me feel better at this point! Maybe an earthquake will wipe out that dung hole that they call a town!!

What happened to due process? Does that shelter get a bounty for every animal they kill? Who gave the order and what is his/her relationship with the police and Mr. Fry? Retaliatory vengeance? Kill an old man's dog, a poodle.. what IDIOT escaped from the mental institute and what IDIOT hired him at the shelter? The Mayor of Hydra should resign and take the whole city hit squad with him.
