I am all for an olive garden, I want that soup, salad and bread stick lunch so bad I can taste it. Don't we have some empty buildings that can be used?

I know olive garden has its "sinature" look but (I hate saying this) Farmington hasn't had the best luck in the way of restaurants and other business' lately. Wouldn't it make more sense to utilize one of these vacant buildings until we know it won't go under and then build something new?

Granted I am not in upper management or the restaurant business but just a little thought when I read about the Olive Garden, that is after the initial excitement and tummy growl.

Oh but you don't understand....this is OLIVE GARDEN! I'm building an altar to give homage and thanks for this beautiful miracle. Angels are singing, sunlight is bursting through the clouds. OLIVE GARDEN! It will last, oh yes, it will last.

You need to go back and read the article again. I think you missed a few important facts concerning the construction.

A reasonable price restaurant with good food. It will do well no matter how bad the economy is here in Farmington.

Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! Another FAST FOOD resturant in Farmington! How gay is that. I can't believe everyone is so excited. Just goes to show how low class Farmington really is. Maybe if we all pray REALLY REALLY hard we can get a POPEYES- ohh please baby Jesus just one Popeye's.

It will be like Red Lobster. It will do OK but we locals will tire of it soon. Food seems better when its special after a drive to ABQ
