Your icon (motorcycle) makes me miss Summer already, dude. Almost bought one on an impulse last year but the wife would have lopped off my danglers!

Where's pj's commentary of Terri's exaggeration when you need it?

Breaking news: It's November in Michigan and winter is here. And tonight the sun will set. And tomorrow the sun will rise. And it's going to get cold and snow this winter. And it will warm up and melt in March\April.

Then by golly, in late May summer will arrive and it will get hot.

Sigh....

Yes, and I try to post a light hearted poke at this very subject (no curse words, no defamation of anyone), and now, they decide to censor everything. I was beginning to think that any post with the words Terri De Boer in it, was automatically banned. LOL!!

With the road commissions budgets getting slashed, we are in for some scary driving and preventable death and injuries.

Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen, Brian Sturgeon here in the bowels of the WOODTV-8 studios. To say the least, it has been a VERY busy news day. So much so, we're having difficulty keeping it all straight, I'm the only one left here, but we will do the best we can to bring it to you FIRST and LIVE, on-air and on-line. First, let's go to Terri with some breaking weather news...

(Cue the "Breaking News" music)

"That's right Brian, all 27 of our meteorologists have been here in the Forecast Hut since last night at midnight. I'm not sure when I'll ever be going home, as there are indeed some reports of as much as a half an inch of snow thus far, that has fallen along the lakeshore. Looks like you kiddies had better get the Mastadon parkas out, along with your "big boots" to wear at the bus stop. If I were you, I'd prepare for "Indoor Recess" today. Your teachers will be taking massive doses of sedatives, to be be sure."

We've sent 2 crews to the lakeshore, but had to just send out an additional 3 crews, because no one has remembered how to drive in this stuff...."Use your common winter-driving sense, people." The original "TWO LIVE CREWS", as I like to call them, have both smashed their little vans. One, after hitting a deer, when dodging a "big snowflake" near Hudsonville. The other news van was destroyed, as we wanted to cover the long lines at Meijer, for the expected massive run on groceries, shovels of any kind, and hard liquor. We're still waiting for the video of that to come in to News 8.

We first told you about this snow back on July 8th, and we said there's a pretty good chance of something like this happening, the closer we get to the winter season. Talk about being dead-nuts on...yyyyyyeessssss! High five Jen Moss!

Bill Steffen will be here in a moment with the complete and accurate forecast for every day this winter, so you're gonna want to stay tuned for that! He'll also tell you that it is as cold here today, as it is in Brussels, Belgium! Meanwhile, I'm going to go back to sleep at my desk for awhile, and see if I can even out my hair. When the next "Weather Whistle" goes off, I'll break in. We'll make sure we plaster THE largest map of West Michigan, taking up about 60% of your TV screen, in order to show you a radar of precipitation that BARELY moves for the next 5 hours. Along with the "bottom crawl" of the "Switch to digital TV" message, and our see-thru WOOD TV-8 logo, we HOPE you'll be able to watch (and see), today's episode of "Judge Tyrone Fillabusta", here on WOOD-TV8.

Back to you, with the news, Brian...

I just can't believe winter came to Michigan! This just does not happen. Must be something to do with Global warming. Gov. Granhom's fault. Obama needs to set up some program to deal with this. Why, we must have at least 1" of snow. I can't get out my door! Thank goodness for Woodtv weather persons keep us up to date!
