My condolences to the family. But can someone please tell me why wood tv8 has to make sure they post everything so darn fast on this site. I mean seriously what if this was a relative of yours, would u want to find out from the internet before you found out from family?

and also in there speed to make sure everyone knows, they are always full of typo's omissions and errors "Driving his north on 36th) nice work.

just bad reporting all the way around.

don't talk about their typo's or errors when you can't spell. here's a little lesson: there spelled T-H-E-R-E is NOT the same as their spelled T-H-E-I-R, which is what you should have used.

yeah you retard, who gives a crap what you say. This whole thing happened around 3:30 this afternoon. The family knew before the news got a whiff of this story. So shutup about things you have no clue about... you just want an excuse to complain. You didn't even know him.
YOU DON'T DESERVE TO WRITE ON THIS.

I'm praying for you Doane family.

First, their typo's do matter. The difference is that it's their JOB to know how to write. That's part of journalism. WoodTV 8 is GOD AWFUL when it comes to grammar. Worse than a highschool paper.

Also, names are never released until the immediate family is notified.

Very sad to die at such a young age.

Don't worry Einstein. The police don't release the names of those involved in fatal accidents until AFTER family members are notified.

Our prayers go out to the Doane family ,friends and relatives. This is not the first tragedy to hit Hudsonville in the last few years. We need to gather as community at this time and support this family. Brad you will be missed.

Could only guess he'd still be alive if he wasn't hit by an SUV.

Wow, I just found out about this via our mineralogy class's group on facebook. I had class with Brad, he was a nice guy, its crazy that he passed on today. I'm in a bit of shock right now honestly. My condolences to his family and friends that knew him better than I did. What's worse though is that half the people on here can only focus on WOOD TVs journalism. Its pretty said that a 19year old kid dies in a car accident and people don't even have enough respect to take a second to pause and reflect on the fact that this kid had a ton of life ahead of him. Instead, they choose to nit-pick about typo's and other insignificant crap....sad, truly sad indeed. My thoughts are with the Doane's...

My point was that as you just said, you found out on facebook, there are other family members and friends and his place of employment etc...that didn't need to hear of this on facebook. Wood needs to stop and think about the family and friends, just like when they show a car accident and a body covered. Really my point was just to remember the family and friends that may have not been contacted yet.I am not nit-picking... this is very sad.I would not want to find out that my bestfriend died on facebook. And wood tv is just wanting a story. If they really cared they would give the family more time, then 5 hrs to post a name.We make these comments inhope that wood tv would listen and be more sensitive next time.
