Apparently the word "estimate" isn't visible to certain readers of certain reports? It is actually the word that has the most context in these debates since no one, including the President, has any real clue what any of this bill is going to cost. And for the record? The taxpayers are going to be paying for all the costs, one way or the other, including for those who cannot afford to purchase the "healthcare".

Good question!$600+ million to create the non-functional version. Dare we say we've crested a billion, just to Humpty.gov from falling of it's firewall?
You've bantered that number, 600+million around several times. I have a feeling you're getting this highly exaggerated number from bagger extremist bloggers? It would seem so all of your wild claims come from there. Lets see a credible, unbiased, accurate source for your number. One that reflects accurately what the govt has spent on healthcare.gov .

Small compared to what "uncompensated medical expenses" is currently costing hospitals (emergency rooms) annually for treating the uninsured.
Unpaid Hospital Bills Rise To $41 Billion Annually
Hospitals recoup these costs primarily by way of federal tax dollars or by shifting costs to insured patients.
http://www.forbes.com/sites/brucejapsen/2013/...
At least 75% of that $41B is paid for by taxpayers and patients with insurance.
One study I recently read is that over the next 5 years (2014-2019) those "unreimbursed medical costs" under Obamacare will be $15-25 billion less ANNUALLY than what they are today.
There are numerous reports of doctors and hospitals refusing to be a part of the obamacare system. Those hospitals will still be receiving the same number of people who can't pay or are not a part of obamacare. Who is going to pay for their care?

You got some better numbers cluck-cluck? Why don't you peck the ground some more till you come up with something besides just more of your usual b.s. When and if you do, please share.

Maybe you and O-nutso can shake the trees together.

Or should I assume you're just smarter than the experts and no sources required?

Interesting how no one is questioning the cost, now and in the future...
Look at the FAA...they have been trying to upgrade for years and still are not where they should be regarding their computers and the software they need.
Now we are going to believe obamacare is going to be any different?

If you look at the numbers provided, albeit projections, you'll see net reductions in federal outlays. I don't think anyone is suggesting there won't be federal dollars involved. I surely wasn't. If you consider that without reform, federal/state dollars spent on healthcare is going up, and even more disturbing, a greater percentage of GDP spent on health care is projected. I've seen a couple of studies that if nothing is done, in 20 years, healthcare will consume half of the GDP. IF that isn't alarming, I don't know what is.

So we can either do nothing with status quo or try something different. The current U.S. healthcare system is nowhere near effective or efficient. Several other countries spend far less with far better results.

are you suggesting perfection? Not sure we'll get there. I don't even think Facebook was perfect when it first came out. That took a while and so will healthcare.gov . But, for now, its getting better every day.

Anyone can "estimate" and say what they think something will cost. YOU seem to think those "estimates" are set in stone and will come out just fine. Heck, even the CBO has revised its estimates at least 3 times and THEY are non partisan unlike most of the garbage you quote. You don't like my sources and never will, even the sources from the very government you think is going to be so wonderful at running your healthcare. You whine about the military budget and that is run by the government but you think Obamacare is going to be better? And you think I'm stupid????

The right wing media won’t report this but the Obamacare site seems to running smoothly
Ezra Klein reports:
There were no error messages or endless hangs. I didn’t complete the final step of purchasing insurance but, until then, the site worked — or at least appeared to work — exactly as intended.
My experience isn’t rare. There are increasing reports that HealthCare.Gov is working better — perhaps much better — for consumers than it was a few short weeks ago.“Consumer advocates say it is becoming easier for people to sign up for coverage,” report Sandhya Somashekhar and Amy Goldstein in the Washington Post.“The truth is, the system is getting stronger as it recovers from its disastrous launch,” writes Sam Baker in the National Journal. Applying “was no problem at all, with no delays,” says Paul Krugman.
Reports from inside the health care bureaucracy are also turning towards optimism. People who knew the Web site was going to be a mess on Oct. 1st are, for the first time, beginning to think HealthCare.Gov might work. Data backs them up: By mid-November, the pace of enrollment in the federal exchanges had doubled from what it was in October.
As for the Obamacare horror stories highlighted in the right wing media, most, if not all of those have been debunked. If any more problems occur, obviously any glitches can be fixed. It’s a website after all.
http://freakoutnation.com/2013/11/27/the-righ...
O-nutso its time for you to enroll!
ya ya ya we know, by December 15th there will be 4,999,999,999,999,999,999,999, 999 people a few Martians and even the Klingons will be signed up, all reported by the MSNBseaweeds for the dictator.

Another prime example of the fanatics being fed a line of crap and watching them slurp it up!

We are being led to believe that doctors and hospitals all over the country are looking forward to turning away those who have an insurance policy through the Affordable Care Act....... In favor of treating people who can't pay their bills!

The real truth which conservatives refuse to face is that the doctors and hospitals making these ignorant claims are only throwing their own little temper tantrums because the ACA is going to put a cap on their earnings.

Which of course leads us to the next conservative reply that the government shouldn't have the right to meddle in what people can get paid.......

Sort of like how their party trashes union employees!

And therefore it's OK to ignore the obvious. Limiting the wages and profits of Hospitals and Doctors whilst ignoring the profits and wages of insurance companies.
Corruption at it's best...it will ultimately give the insurance companies even more profits to help corrupt our politicains even more. What a wonderful idea (NOT!!!).
Wow...just wow Bob...
