Anyone know the details on this, a well known civil liberties group may be interested in looking into the OCSD "Sweeps" since they might be of questionable constitutional validity.

I am glad to see the message put out to others that it does not matter what a stud you are on the football field, or basketball court, or baseball field: When you're wrong you're wrong, man up, GROW UP, and face the consequences of YOUR actions...

Kinda puts the world in perspective doesn't it? We have articles about a woman who's dead and her three daughters missing (likely with the murderer), a dog who was hung from a tree and nearly killed, a guy who died trying to save his best friend from a fire and then this. I'm so glad to know that some little 19 year old athlete who thinks it's a good idea to get drunk and beat on cops is as important as the other tragedies that have occurred recently. Never heard of him and don't really care what happens to him....

I saw the video from a few weeks ago and it looks like more than just extra cops. It looked like they were knocking on doors and randomly stopping individuals. A little advice:

1. If they come to the door do not open it unless they have a warrant, no matter what they tell you, let them knock it down.

2. It is none of their business where you have been, where you are going or what you have drank. Do not answer any questions. ID yourself, give them your ID if you have it and SHUT THE F UP.

3. Never, ever, ever take the PBT. There is no penalty for not taking it if you are not driving. If you are driving it is just a civil infraction.

4. Don't run and fight with the cops. Always plead NOT GUILTY at arraignment and get an attorney.

I just want everyone out there to know what an awesome person Jimmy is on and off the field! Yes, he made a mistake and will have to pay the consequences for his actions, but we are a very close knit family that will be there for Jimmy every step of the way.

What is really sad is that anyone gives a damn about a 19 yr. old having a beer when we have important problems.

The snootful probably hurts his 40 time. They said he is charged with malicious destruction because the cops are missing a flashlight, this must be quite a story.

The cop lost his flashlight, now Berezik is going to be charged with it? I know how the courts and cops like to make money, but this is a total joke. If the officer didn't have his equipment secured, he should be flipping the bill. Luckily it wasn't his gun, though you know it would have been found in 5 minutes.
All that will happen in this case, and you watch, it will be nothing but fines going to the courts. All he did was being a drunk fool that screwed up, yet the media destroyed his future now. Hope everyone is happy that is involved in this.
