When you turn 60, let's see how you feel.

It seems the light was functioning, flashing red for Port Sheldon, flashing yellow for Chicago Dr. Anyone who drives knows that flashing red means stop and make sure traffic is clear, and flashing yellow means proceed with caution. That light and many others flash like that every night. I don't believe it was necessary for the police to direct traffic. The sherrif probably reported it.
It's a shame that an elderly driver might have been confused by the blinking light at that time of day, but let's not blame the Sherrif.
Here we go with that elderly nonsense again. It could have happened to anyone of any age.

Do you know that it doesn't matter if your a teenager, middle age or and elder person? When god needs you to come home, you can't deny it. I wish people would learn what the meaning of the word accident really means. Why are we so stupid that we have to put the blame on someone. Why can't we just let things go. I am praying for all involved.
God, not god.

What ticks me off the most, is there was a Sheriff that drove through that intersection, and didn't stop to direct traffic. I thought the police are here to protect and serve? So much for that idea. Plus, it took an accident to get MDOT out to fix it. This was an avoidable tragedy!!
Are you kidding. Why would thew police have to direct traffic. It dosent take a brain surgeon to figure out how to drive... She made a tragic mistake.. and Im sorry for the family.. but if the light is flashing red you stop till clear... Darwin you may not be able to figure that out but most people can..

What did you want the police to do? The light was flashing red for Chicago drive and yellow for Port Sheldon. You donít cross until you see it's clear. If you canít see, well donít cross! Iím sorry to say, this was 100% driver error, not the light. If it was not working at all, then it would be a different story

Lindsey, don't let those jerks get to you. Some people are just plain insensitive and don't know what it's like to care about "special people", like Mary.

Our post and auxiliary have shed many, many tears for everyone's loss of this dear woman. She touched so many lives in such good ways. She had even taken on extra chairmanships within our auxiliary this year, and at our meeting last week, her words to us were "This will be our best year ever". As active as she was, noone would ever know she was 81. By the way, I'm so glad I attended her last birthday party.

Mary will always be remembered as a loving, caring, content, happy woman who loved life. She will also be truely missed by everyone who knew her.
