The last meeting not very many people knew about. It is difficult to make an appointment you don't l know about.Tried talking to some guys that say, I'm on the fence. What I really did was talk to guys that want to stay ignorant and see what happens. I've got all the respect in the world for someone who stands by their convictions. Yes or no, I have respect for you, but if you're on the fence and choose not to attend the meetings and remain ignorant of what is going on, then you deserve what is coming your way.
I still have coworkers that think we HAVE to go on strike, if we institute a union. Guys that say, it doesn't matter what we do, the cuts are coming. Young guys that say they aren't worth the money they make. Really? Why do you even get up in the morning? Who told you, you were worthless?
Our next meeting is March 24th, 2 PM, at the Elk's Lodge. Be there, if you care at all about your coworkers and their families. Just get the information and make an informed decision. Get the hell off the fence.
On the fence, simply means that it's hard to feel represented personally when you still have 8-10 guys are making a decision for the rest of us at the bargaining table. What the committee agrees on may not be what I agree with and vice verse. Maybe somebody can help explain this??
