Nice post Self Made! Everyone can think for themselves, but when making such an important decision, get as much information as you can, so you can make an intelligent, informed decision. All employed at Rotek south should be in attendance for that reason. The only reason you haven't received pay cuts already, is because they don't want you digruntled at the same time as our labor dispute. As soon as we settle, if you're not organized, you better believe that you're going to see the same wage cuts and two-tier system as was implemented upon us. Personally, I don't care if you organize or not. I do care about all of us keeping what we have and sharing information between the plants. This is the only way we, as workers, can keep the status quo we've been accustomed to. I encourage all Florence hourly to come to tomorrow's meeting and get your information first hand! This too important to get info second hand. This is your livelihood, not a flea market. Stand together and fall for nothing!! Don't drink the spin doctors koolaid!

I would also like to say to all the guys that are relatively new. If you want to kind of see the direction this company is starting to take. Talk to the men who have been here for years. They will tell you how so many things have change. These are the guys I have trust in. They have the experience dealing with company.

Its just Amusing to me to see how management now walks around and acknowledge us and holds conversations. Maybe it was there New Years Resolution..... Or maybe they don't want us to organize because that's just one more thing they might have to deal with.

I mean why does it matter that much. As long as your doing your job and everything is being done fair there aren't going to be any issues. We just want SECURITY and Fairness with the union!

If it was my call we wouldn't waste the time. Has been my stance all along. Don't go to the meeting I could careless. It is obvious you can not read. I said they were coming to inform the people who were interested in the facts about what is really happening in the north. There not coming down there to organize you guys. Just to inform about wage, medical. You only know what you have been told by management. I would not believe a word Dr Tim tells you because he doesn't tell the salary workers in Aurora the truth. He told them that we were offered a wage freeze and the old medical package before the negotiations started. That's a bunch of bull shit. Hey good luck to you and taking care of your self. I would rather stand around the barrel then be grabbing my ankles saying thank you sir may I have another.
More like brow beating that's gone on non stop. Dog food on cars if you have a differnet opinion or how about spitting on cars. Now what the same people who want to be leaders that brow beated for months, now try to catch fly's with honey by acting profesional for a day.

Well spoken Self Made! People need to realize that when the north goes back, they won't care about the south being disgruntled. The cuts will come and the work will go back north. The problem with management is not at the level that is in Florence, it's up north and Tim is a tyrant. Don't take my word for it. Time will let him show how he really is. If Goddard could tell you what he really thinks without losing his job, he'd tell you the truth. NOBODY in management likes the spin doctor either!! Stand together and fall for nothing!

As you can tell by reading this Forum. Actions by some grown men cant be explained, We all have to conduct ourselves in a proper and well manner.

Im one that is willing to hear both sides of the argument in order to form my own opinion. Im open minded but my biggest question to the people that don't want a union is this. What is so bad, Why are you against it?

For many people, they just think that there is never a time a union is needed. That is just a Dangerous way of thinking!

Florence is not too bright. North is collecting unemployment and strike pay. Union dues right now are not being paid. There is insurance. So stick it up your blow hole. Pretty much paid like we are working. Why dont you come up here we splain it yo ya"ll. we start with basics 1+1=2 ya"ll. Mr. Florence you should be sooo busy at your shop with all that work you should and not have time to write all that bull on this web site. pay attention to your machine and be more diligent. The world is depending on you to make those baby bearings down there. Pay attention boy adults r speaking to you.

We don't strike to honor their lockout. Our union is in no way tied to theirs. Our contract would be our's. Our fight would be our fight. There are tons of misconceptions, like this. That's why you should be there, hilljack(Fort Thomas). Educate yourself, if for no other reason. Have a say, or keep your mouth shut and listen. It's up to you.
Beer will be served afterwards, not during, because we all know what a bunch of drunk hillbillies, act like.
My statement about being weakminded, wasn't directed at the no votes. It's directed at the guys that get on this site and just bash each other's wives and call each other names, to detract from the issue. I have nothing but respect for the guys that stood up and told me why they didn't want a union. The guys that jumped all over them, should apologize. And, if you are just going to sit at home and see what other's decide your future will be, well you are spineless. There's no other word for it.
Being there doesn't mean you support the union. There should be 150 guys there. You don't have to raise your's when Mr. Elliot asks for a show of hands. I don't think this should be done, anyway. It's why the voting ballot is private. So you can't be descriminated against because of your vote. Either way, I'll be there, because I'm not spineless. I'll raise my hand, because I have to.
how can all 150 guy`s be there when only on slect few are told.
as i said before i was at the last meeting and left because of the shit said about people and bitching, i was not told this time. i was not the only one who left or liked what happend. how many of these guy`s did you not tell ?

some good points, i disagree with the statment we ride on the union up norths coat tails, i like to think we have work/earned what we have. i did`nt see anyone from aurora helping me load a part.
unions are not that easy to vote out either, look it up . it takes a long time , lot of rules. the name calling will only get worse, just look how this forum has played out, wait until its face to face.
