Do teaparty members actually think the Republicans are going to give them something in return for helping them get into office. Not!

The tea party must now be realizing that they were played like cheap fiddles by the GOP, from which they are indistinguishable.

Pretty hilarious all the fuss that was made over this self-defeating movement. They do realize that they were Republicans, running as Republicans, against other Republicans -- right?

If don't think the tea party was a sensational flop, consider this:

Their goals were to "vote out all incumbents" and "bring DC as far to the right economically as possible."

Last I checked after the mid-terms, nearly EVERY incumbent held his or her seat in the last election. I don't remember the exact percentage, but it was huge. Goal #1 = fail.

Isn't it hilariously ironic that the first acts passed by the tea party poisoned congress will be more deficit enlarging pork? Goal #2 = fail.

What's even funnier is that they truely believe that there was a massive ideological shift in their favour. If they had actually looked, they'd have seen that most races were decided by small margins indicating an even ideological divide, especially when the low Dem turnout is included in the equation. That is, the same people that were going to vote Repub voted Repub. They just turned out in greater numbers than the Dems.

Oh that's right, still in their seats.

Lets see, with the help of the Tea Party, the Democrats took historical defeats in federal, state and local elections, sometimes putting Republicans in power in places that have long been Democractic strongholds. They swept out the super majority by winning 63 house seats, something that hasn't been seen in decades, they took 6 seats back in the Senate and with more liberal Senators having to defend their seats in 2012 than eve and the Prez is beginning to triangulate. One of the biggest problems Democrats, liberals, and progressives have is they can't recognize success when they see it. Success is when you win and failure is when you lose - and you folks, lost BIG!

"Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., says he will support President Obama's tax cut compromise, even though he's not happy about all the pork and earmarks being loaded into it. In fact, McCain predicts that if Congress keeps it up, Americans will be so upset by the fiscal irresponsibility, they will elect third party.
'Unless we satisfy the message of this last election, you will see the rise of a third party,' McCain told Fox News on Saturday."

Here we see John (kept his seat too -- remember -- Vote Out Incumbents!) McCain acknowledging that there is no difference between the Repubs and the tea party.

By the way, where was the tea party before it was a black guy doing the reckless spending?

Oh that's right, being Republicans and spending recklessly.

Well, the Tea Party arose because of the wreckless spending of both parties. Your so ate up that the Tea Party, a group of common folks, were able to rise up and "shellack" those elitist folks you seem so fond of. I can understand your bitterness - all that you believed in, all that you thought was going to happen, all the benefits you thought you were going to receive because your guy was going to take from the rich and give to you - all that went down the dumper with this election. Now you might actually have to consider the thought of taking some personal responsibility (I know that makes you shutter), go to work or school to improve your lot in life and become a productive citizen rather than one who believes the government will care for your every whim. That being said, if DC does revert to business as usual, McCain will be fulfilling his own prophecy because folks won't stand for the excessive and irrational spending folks like you favor....and PS - it has nothing to do with a black guy, it has everything to do with a liberal/progressive Congress which just went hog wild.

An American attribute, if it doesn't happen right now, it won't happen. I'm glad your parents and grandparents were more patient than you or a lot of the Western countries would have German as their first language and then Spanish or Arabic. America-get it done yesterday. I know you don't care but that is one reason why the Europeans and the rest of the world laugh at Americans. Get 'er done a month ago. This war is lasting too long. Let's pack up and go home. The rest of the world knows this and the mohammedans are patiently waiting. They won't attack again. It will be 10 years this coming September 11. I hear this over and over. Like there hasn't been any attacks since 9/11. Look at this thread. The Tea Party lost is the mantra. The TP lost, the TP lost, the TP lost, the TP lost. Reminds one of a Far Eastern mantra. Tell me anyone, what other election did any TPers run for election? I don't remember any other. The Tea Partyers are finished, Correct? That mountaintop property in the Bronx is still for sale. Any takers?

There will be no 3rd party and if there is, the democrats will ALWAYS win because liberals, blacks and the hispanic vote will stick together.

A war is not won in one battle - the new House and Senate is not even seated as of yet. We'll see if the Repubs are as stupid as they were when they were in power earlier in the decade.

The new tax package is a piece of trash - it should be scrapped and started over after the new Congress is seated.

If the new Congress wavers, it will be time to completely destroy the Republican Party, and start over.

I see what a disaster the election was for GOP incumbents. I'm sure lots of incumbant dems are wishing they were GOP now. It's hilarious. Don't worry Slick Willy is back in the white house and he says "It's a good deal with the republicans and it's going to be allright." So it all ends well. Americans can rest easy now.

No, they are going to make sure the Republicans do what the Tea Party wants them to do, or the Tea Party will get rid of them, too.
The Tea Party is just getting started.

The Tea Party did, in effect, get what they wanted. At least their Backers/Funders, the Koch Brothers did. Why is the Tea Party not bitching about more Gov. spending? That was their gripe right? Seems like 750 Billion charged and added to our massive deficit would get to them, but I haven't heard a peep.
