Thanks to our grandfathers in Dayton who paid for the dam system out of thier own pockets.The 5 dams were built to stop floods twice as bad as the 1913 flood.My grand father's team of horses was commandered by the Sherrif to haul dead horses and bodies from downtown Dayton during the clean up.
