Remember the good ole days in Huber Heights. Share with us great memories and favorite places of the past.
I grew up in Huber Heights during the early 70s all the way through the 90s. As a kid it was Wayne Twp and as you know we became a city in 1981. One of our favorite places as kids was the Stop N Go on Brandt Pk. Note: Brandt Pk was two lanes only back then. We would get a roll of quarters and play Asteroids until our fingers bleed. The girls would come in and play pac man. It was the same Stop N Go we would have someone buy us some beer.
Another cool place the FANTASIA game room on Fishburg. It is now Huber Heights Insurance. After we got out of school we would go there and play video games they had a juke box, pool tables.
In the early 90s Kamaikaze Beach Club was born on Troy Pk. near the historical Flicker Palace Movie Theater- I saw JAWS in 1976 at the same theater. Kamaikaze was a great club. Volley ball out back and booze and babes inside. Monday night at the fights people got there ass kicked in the ring. Wow!!! Now its a crappy old shopping center being taken over buy thugs. Sad.

Yep I remember the good ol' days of Hubertucky as well. Racists hanging out of the windows calling out who ever was walking by. Little punk kids in school following their mommy and daddy's "shining" example. This town is the same as it ever was, it's just changing color now.

I spent a few years in Huber, it beat the crap out of east Dayton, where I spent most of my life. I liked the font used on the FLICKER PALACE sign.
